Is anyone else here a comic book fan and/or buy any of the various statues/maquettes/figures that come out? I used to be really into comic books, but over the past few years I've been collecting some of the statues and maquettes. I recently began grabbing all these Ame Comi statues. I didn't like them much at first glance, but they grew on me - especially after seeing the one of Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn (one of my favorite comic characters). Although I'm not big on anime at all, these for some reason, tickle my fancy. Anyone else have any of these?

This reminds me of something I saw yesterday....in one of our public parks there was a "cosplay" (costume play) meeting...hundreds of people (mainly girls) dressed up in costumes of Japanese anime/manga characters. Some of them really looked amazing, others not so. Many of them were barefoot, too. [Wink]

I got a a bunch, mainly japanese figures and statues. Here's a link to my partial collection: Figure collection

I don't have any of this line, I do have the ArtFX Kotobukiya Supergirl PVC. I am not a big fan of this line mainly because I just never really got into DC. I am waiting for the Marvel bishoujo statues of Rogue and the Black Widow (HOT!)

Nice collection! I've never been a fan of anime at all. I think the only thing I liked in my life that could be loosey classified as anime was Voltron when I was just a kid. I didn't really care for the statues I got until that Harley and Ivy one came out and then they grew on me. When I was a kid, Marvel was my bag, but DC has grown on me lately.

Have you seen the new Adam Hughes statues coming out of Catwoman, Zatanna, Black Canary and Wonder Woman? WOW oh WOW! They look stellar.

I did watch both Voltron's shows (Lions and Vehicles) and I was big into Robotech!

Those statues from Adam Hughes look very sweet! I do have some statues and mini busts from Shanna, Witchblade and a couple other ones from american artists. I prefer statues with naked or half-naked women or any with some sexy legs/feet. I bought this kit below from an Ebayer in the UK:

Still need to get it assembled and painted.

Ha. I am probably treading into BIG TIME geekdom here, but just imagine how those big ole "wonderful" feet would smell after a day of ass kicking in these boots. [Wink] HEEHEE

Just had to share this one, I am mulling the decision to buy this or wait for a barefoot version:
