I could probably look this up, but Ill prolly get confused by all the tech jargan.

I was watching Gladiator earlier, the boxing one, and during the last fight they put the odds at 5/3 for james marshall, and like 7/3 for Cuba Gooding jr. I understand 5/1, meaning you get 5 dollars for every 1 dollar you bet, but what I put in above is really confusing. Any help??
