As if I haven't gushed on and on about this excellent game enough, I had a realization hit me last night. I can go to youtube for foot clips, so why not check youtube for Resdent Evil 4 movies? Oh man, did I find some interesting stuff!

Check out what was supposed to be Resident Evil 4...

Looks good, but personally, I'm glad they scrapped this and made RE4 the cool action title we know it for.

A behind the scenes video on the making of RE4...

My personal favorite mercenary Hunk, and his "Neckbreaker Ballet". Whoever was playing him in this mission was good...they rack up over 90 straight consecutive kills, and most of them with Neckbreakers! Video quality could've been better, but it's nice seeing Hunk whoop some Ganado ass!

See Albert Wesker kill 118 monks in a row! Sound is off-base in the clip, but it sure is neat seeing Wesker dealing out death like it's no big deal...

Enjoy! [Thumbs Up]

Wow, I had no idea RE 4 was like that originally. It would have been a lot scarier than the version that came out, but I am glad it was changed. The true survival horror style needs a break

Same here Bro...I'd much rather blow the heads off of Ganado's than fight a ghost with a chain...though those little dolls running around and laughing all evil was pretty neat. It would've been cool to pop those little basturds with a handgun, but they sure wouldn't have fit in with the whole Plagas storyline.

Did you get a chance to look at those Mercenaries clips? Study the styles of attack...it'll help you improve your game! I've recently been lucky enough to earn five stars on the Pueblo Village with Ada, Krauser, Hunk, and Wesker. Leon however is throwing me for a total loop. I can get four stars with him, but that elusive fifth star is still up for grabs... [Cry]

One thing I've learned about Mercenaries: only grab time bonuses as you need them. Running ahead and snagging extra hour-glasses actually boils down to time-wasting if you don't have anybody following you...you while out your time hunting down targets if you can beat the crowd in the first place. I've also learned to make those multipliers count...I only grab those if I'm getting bumrushed.

One other thing...Dr. Salvador CAN BE STOPPED on the Waterworld stage. Even if the basturd attacks you as soon as you arrive.

If you're playing Leon, use that beautiful Riot Gun to finish him off, making sure to get some oil drums exploded around him for good measure.

As Ada: Use the Sniper Rifle, occasionally lobbing Incendiary grenades if you need to get some distance on him. The best place to fight him with Ada is on the long catwalk, above one of the houses, right before you get to the pulley you can slide down. Round the corner and pop him with Sniper shots as he tries to catch up...

As Krauser: Use the arm...'nuff said! [Big Grin]

As Hunk: Three grenades and you've got him on the ropes...just be ready to run and shoot to finish him off completely. Don't worry, it's easy to build your grenades back up during the downtime afterward.

As Wesker: This guy has grenades AND the Sniper Rifle AND the Killer 7, so Dr. Salvador is a real pussy when it comes to Wesker.

Now I just need to get five stars with Leon in Pueblo...then I'll only have THREE more stages to do the same thing all over again...that Hand Cannon better be worth all this! [Smile]

yeah wesker getting 118 kills was damn crazy. I suck at mercs and I have accepted this. someone always kills me haha. Hunks video was amazing though.

Watching the RE4 vid again though does make me wish they released both versions. It is safe to assume the storyline of re4 would have been different if it was the ghost with chain version of the game. Did you get a chance to play Resident Evil for Gamecube? When they remade it entirely? It is still the scariest survival horror game to date. The only problem with going action like RE4 is that, while the fun factor improves greatly, it isn't nearly as frightening or challenging.

No, I haven't got to play the remake of part 1, and I'm thinking that maybe I should just to see all the work that went into it...it does look pretty cool. It's just that I'm so spoiled with the easy control and camera angles of part 4, I'm hesitant to plink down the $20 to get the remake of part 1. I got a Bro that's offered to lend it to me, so maybe I need to take him up on the offer. I did get part 0, but like I say about the control, I just couldn't get into it like I have part 4.

You're right though...I wish Capcom would go on and release the proto of part 4...maybe call it Resident Evil Nightmare or something and finish up the game. It sure looks like a lot of work went into that title just to sit around unfinished.

So you suck at Mercenaries? Hey Bro...Mercenaries I think was designed to make ALL of us feel like we suck! [Laugh] Just dig in and play man...I'm earning five stars as of late, and I suck too! Once you learn the lay-outs of the levels better, it gets easier to survive longer...and one thing about Mercenaries as compared to the main game; you sure do get to kill a bunch of stuff, and that's always a whole lotta fun.
[Violent] [Woot]

re 4 is good but overrated it wasn't scary like the others they should've kept it like the one in the youtube vid imo

my favorite is either re 3 or code veronica, can't decide between the two

I can see your point, but in my opinion, RE4 was still scary, just in different ways. I mean, picture it: you're low on ammo, low on life, and then you hear a chainsaw start up in the distance...you turn and there's villagers blocking every escape route and all the while you hear that chainsaw getting closer...that is some nail-biting stuff my friend! [Smile]

I guess I just think zombies are terrifying. Nothing scarier than a dead person coming back to life and trying to eat you if you ask me.

True enough. [Thumbs Up]

I kinda' liked the break we got in RE4, but it would be nice to see the zombies return in the next installments. [Cool]
