No I wouldn't. I've seen bits and pieces of the show because it airs here in Canada on Teletoon but it looks like a show you'd have to be high to enjoy. I mean the one I saw the other day had them gettting a computer program that lets you make your own dog and they created a banana dog or something like that and he was constantly raping the fat, bald guy next door.

I went to see Grindhouse the other day and it was awesome. I'm not talking about all the foot shots in Tarantino's film, although if you ever had a doubt that he had a foot fetish it should be put to rest now, but the movie(s) it/themselves. I loved Rodriguez' movie a bit more but that's because I'm a huge zombie movie fan. The fake trailers were also great. I'd love to see "Machete" and "Werewolf Women Of The S.S." actually made. Two thumbs up.

We saw the newest "Pirates of the Carribean" movie today. The thing clocked in at 2 hours and 45 minutes and really draaaaaaaaaged along. The problem with it is that they are introducing too many characters into the story line that they feel obligated to focus on each of throughout the movie causing it to bog down. The only really interesting character in these movies is Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow, but you don't get that much of him in it because he is of course missing for 1/3 of the movie while they are searching for him. And of course as mentioned before that there are too many minor characters that keep springing up with various story lines to follow.

My personal rating of this one is a C+. The first two offerings were much better than this one.

Just saw Knocked Up two days ago...fucking hilarious! Came from the same people that made the 40 yr old virgin...this one had way more laughs...it seemed that I was laughing almost the whole movie...near the end it kind of gets sappy but hey it defintely makes up for it with all the laughs before that...man I sound like I should work for a entertainment mag or something! Just saw this about 2 weeks ago with the girlfriend in the theater. I do agree there was too much goin on that did slow things down a bit, but i didnt notice THAT many new characters, it just seemed there were so many of the same with way too much of their own agenda to explain through out the movie. But i felt it went pretty damn good once the first hour or so was over, but there was still for as much "action" that there was, it seemed a little slower paced than the rest, but in my opinion still damn good!

Did you stay until the end of the credits ladaemon?

awful film! it really was....as has already been said, there were too many characters that just werent important enough. too much was going on to actually care about and follow. the soul and fun of the first film was severely missing.

as for the ending (after the credits), though i didnt stay myself, i heard there is an extra scene based "10 yrs later" where kiera knightley and her son (Will Jnr) are standing on that island waiting for Will to come back from the other realm...and the son is singing a pirates song...

i think thats all that took place...am i right in this? :-)

Oh I could see their being one..but at the same time its hard to say.(If that makes any sense) The creators might just want us to think there is one coming out but it might not come for another 10 years! At which time I will be front row and center with popcorn! [Big Grin]

I also saw The Simpsons Movie a week ago. Had me laughing like a mongoloid!

I saw Die Hard 4.0 last week. It was a cool movie with cool action. One downside, was that, the violence was toned down, which kind of took the gloss off the cool action. The lack of profanity also seemed unrealistic, as John Mc Clane is a normally foul mouthed character, plus, the previous Die Hards has an average of 30+ f..k words. And it wasn't the same hearing Yippi-kai-yai mother*gunshot*.

It had good action, the story was good, and there is a touch of humour as well.

Still, it gets a 8/10 for me. I hear through the grapevine they may be releasing an unrated version on DVD with all the violence and language intact.

Saw Superbad last night. One of the funniest movies I've seen in awhile. Seth Rogan wrote a killer movie and he is pretty funny as the cop, too. The kids were funny as hell also. Lots of cursing and sexual humor, but that's exactly what I like to see. The whole backstory of how Seth hates Becca is genius..... [Laugh]

I'm kind of hesitant about that one because they're making such a big deal about it and Seth Rogan's writing yet I thought "Knocked Up" sucked so I'm going to wait until it's out on DVD.

The Nightmare Before Christmas "3-D" version... They've re-released it here and in mind blowing digital 3D...

I'ts amazing how they've done it coz the last movie I saw in 3D was the Blue/Red glasses which had alotta ghosting and discoloured stuff BUT I'm not too sure how they did this one... I also saw a 3D movie before that which you had a bulky head set with suppozed eye-shutter which was the best 3D experience I've had but maybe instead of eye-shutter they musta had screen-shutter coz the movie was shown using 2 projectors...

Luv 3D.. They gotta bring more of this out especially future horror flicks [Big Grin]

I was forced into sitting in on the Bee Movie and it basically is what I expected from all of those Pixar movies. I personally prefer anime.
Jerry seinfeld was typically himself. But there was a small foot fetish tidbit in the movie when Vanessa (voiced by Renee Zellweger) confessed to the bee (voiced by Jerry Seinfeld) that she lost a toe ring in the park. It was kinda odd to hear it but I guess foot fetish-ism is starting to enter all media forms.

Excellent in [Eek!] Digital 3D [Eek!] @ IMAX... It's like the movie was made to be seen in 3D with all the cleverly close-call minipulative & constructive camera shots/angles...

Good enough to be seen on the standard big screen but adds the extra "KICK" in IMAX 3D

"9/10" [Thumbs Up]

P.S Just be aware that your eyes are going to get a workout in the 3 Dimensional version with your eye-lenses relaxing and flexing keeping up with the action scenes [Smile]

A little cheesey but it's sorta what you'd normally expect in a kids/family genre.
Not all that great. I give this a 6 outta 10 [Smile]

An uncomplete series in the tridition of "Lord Of The Rings" but still felt quite fulfilled when left the cinema. Beginning is slow but builds to greater scenes later on in the film.

EVA GREEN (plays sarafina, a witch) looks so G'DAMN SEXY [Drool] in this movie...

I give this a 7.5 Outta 10

I went to see Rambo tonight. Everyone's been saying how awesome it was and how blown away they were but I found it boring. The storyline is paper thin, I've seen bigger storylines in pornos. All it is is an excuse to show people get shot, stabbed and blown up in various bloody and explicit ways.

The last movie I saw in a theater was "Sleeping With the Enemy". This is a tragic indicator of my love life.

I haven't seen it yet, but I heard from one person that it was really funny. Other thing I heard was there was even more gratuitous penis waving than in "Borat." Not sure that's going to be something to really draw me to the theater.

Ummmmm. I think it was either "Role Models" or that latest Indiana Jones movie.

That movie starring stupid Hayden Panettiere (something about Beth Cooper). Whatever you do, DON'T watch it. Please, I'm begging you.

Hayden sucks. She's overrated and that movie couldn't have done well in the first place unless the leading role went to someone as popular as Panettiere. It must've been a way for Hayden to make a quick buck, but I hope she becomes more selective in the roles she picks in the future.

I need to see another movie sometime very, very soon so that I can forget about how brain dead Hayden's movie left me.

We took our daughter to go see it for her birthday! Since we are totally HP g33ks we enjoyed it immensely and even got to see the little one go from jumping out of her seat to crying by the end of the film.

After participating in National's foot celeb contest over the last few months, I felt that I needed to go and see Transformers after Megan Fox won the whole thing.

For me it was either Up or Transformers 2. I can't remember which one came later.

I can't wait for District 9 this Friday though and Inglourious Basterds after that!

This week District 9. It was way different than I expected however it was a great movie. What made the movie so good was that after you see it you have to let it soak into your head for like 30 mins or so before you can even talk about it.
Shows the nature of our human character!! I loved it and would highly reccomend it.

Seriously Shelley? I saw it this past weekend and I classified it as the worst movie I have ever seen. I wanted to leave after 15 minutes but thought I would wait to see if it got better. After 45 minutes I still wanted to leave but for the life of me I couldn't figure out why no one else was leaving. I have to admit, it did get better towards the end and I agree that I was speechless for about 30 minutes afterwards....Maybe I am just too girlie for this kind of film. :-)

Excellent call. I'd deffinitely go see it again. Interesting to see how aparthied could easily happen again if we're not careful. And the effects that it has on it's population. Funny seeing an alien race with far greater technology than we have be reduced to stealing and petty crime due to our lack of understanding. Reminds me of similar situations happening now in the states and all over the world. Excellent, but very subtle sociopolitical statements!
