Not all of us feel content showing an actual pic of ourselves, which is okay. As an alternative, I figure we could list how tall we are with our weight to get a ballpark idea of how we look....

Me: 5'8, 166 lbs.

Posted by bluetoelover (Member # 14736) on :

5'8 about 175lbs of twisted steel and sex appeal! [Tongue]

Damn, you guys are small....

I'm 5'10" 235 lbs., but I look like 200 lbs.

I'm 5'8.... just a minute while I step on the bathroom scale...

Right around 148 lbs.

And Salvy, at just 2" taller and almost 90 lbs heavier than me I'm hoping that you are solid muscle and not lookin' like the Staypuft Marshmallow Man! [Laugh]

Are you this?

Or this?

Actually both of those guys are pretty scarey to me! [Laugh]

That is the moist 'roided MF'er I have ever seen in my life....

Nah, actually its a combination of both with me. A bit of a potbelly , arms halfway in between muscular and normal looking, and my legs are all muscle, which is where I'm heaviest anyway. I've always been pretty stocky, and unfortunately, I've got pretty short arms and legs. So I'm strong as an ox, and just as slow.

5'10.5''

I'm at 189. about 9lbs heavier than normal for me.

actually salvy...im not trying to brag..but not only are my arms and legs ripped but I dont have a belly of any sort...wouldnt believe how much work you have to do to keep it that way..gym at least 3-4 times a week...NO SUPPLEMENTS/ROIDS! [Big Grin]

blue, I can't afford to go to the gym that much and considering I work graveyard, I'm typically sleeping during prime workout hours anyway. Not only that, but since I tend to eat cheap, meaning unhealthy, I get fairly big. I do enough walking (at work), push-ups, and sit-ups a week though to keep myself in pretty decent shape, but I'm nowhere near where I was 3 years ago, let alone 5 years ago in high school. Not only that, but soda is really the only real vice I have. I don't drink that much, nor do I eat too many sweets, but I love my Pepsi.

But now that I think about it, I really should start eating healthier as a start. I'll be like Jared and do the Subway diet. I also just realized that Diet Coke is pretty good tasting, so I'll start rocking that better than my beloved Pepsi. I've also been thinking about doing some boxing to get in shape, with the occasional delusion of grandeur of me getting down to a walking weight of 190-200 and cutting to 175, becoming a light heavyweight contender. Unfortunately, I know flyweights with longer arms than me...

Posted by bluetoelover (Member # 14736) on :

ah mic...but if you did cut down to 175 just stick in close to those flyweights and you'll do fine! Diet Pepsi has aspartame in it..cant remember what it does but I hear its not a good thing! I am a pepsi drinker myself!

I quit smoking on March 22, 2007. From then to April I put on 10 pounds. Currently, I'm 5' 7", 180lbs. In a few months, I'll be down to my goal weight of 165lbs. I work out a few days a week, and I have been eating more properly.

It has been a few months since I weighed in here (Aug 14th was the post I quoted). Today, December 23rd, I'm down to 168lbs. I'll be at my goal weight after the holidays.

I'm consistently between 145-149 lbs. After a sedentary winter, I'm on the high end; that will change as soon as Spring actually keeps its promise. As for height, I'm discouraged to find that I'm now under 5'5".

After the age of 35, the average human (more likely the average American - the synopses of some studies aren't always that clear) loses an inch of height every decade due to the loss of bone mass and compression of the vertebral discs. I seem to be following that course.

As a typical male, I'm pleased to note that, although my height may have decreased (as my belt-line sneaks toward my armpits) my length remains unaffected.

I'm 6' even and 220 lbs. I gained 20 lbs. during the last four months of unemployment. I'm usually pretty active. Also doesn't help that age is causing my metabolism to slow down.

Well, since I last posted my size, I had actually gained weight and gotten up to damn near 260 lbs. I also re-measured my height and found I was actually 5'9", not 5'10"...bummer. But in the same span, I lost all the weight I put on and am now back down to 235.

My parents are in their early 70s now and they have shrunk a bit over the years. My pop used to be taller than me, but now he's about 1" shorter than me. And I'll be damned he wears his pants almost up to his chest. I guess that'll be me in another 30 years too and the rest of you mugs as well!

That could be an advantage. At that age I'll be living on a fixed income and I'll need any financial break I can get. If I wear my pants high enough, I can eliminate the expense of shirts. I'm gonna start shopping for pants with the proper neck size.

Same here about, I'd like to lose down to around 155 or so though honestly, I'm not sure what to do about it though. Think cardio will do the trick?

Just 30 minutes of exercise a day should do the trick. Most mornings I get up and jog before work and do a bunch crunches before doing the three S's. I also eat an apple and drink water on my morning drive to work. Try doing that if you can work it into your routine.
