1st language: English Little bit of Spanish learned from elementary to middle school. Plus the dirty words learned from Mexicans I worked with in the past.
The only German I know is from "Hogan's Heroes." Gott in Himmel! Swine! Snell! Rouse! Mein Fuher! Ja! Nein!!!

One advantage of being a European...I can speak several languages.
I also had 6 years of classical Latin in school. This may come in handy if I ever jump into a time machine to travel 2000 years into the past to visit the old Romans.
Two other languages that I learned to speak during my years in South Africa are Xhosa and Afrikaans...unfortunately they are spoken nowhere else on earth.
My parents lived in China for a few years, so I can speak a couple of phrases in Mandarin. (Did you know that one chinese dialect is called Wu? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wu_Chinese)

Other than english, I can also speak spanish. I can speak it more than enough to get by (I'll say 90%), however I can understand it perfectly when people talk to me in that language. If I hung out with Eva Mendes all day, speaking spanish to each other, we'll be able to get along quite well.
I can definitly speak it better than Jessica Alba and Christina Aguilera combined.
But foremost, english is the language I'll live and die by.

I'm reminded of an old joke told to me by one of my cousins who is French (once upon a time I was fairly comfortable in French but that was long ago):
Q: What do you call a person who can speak two languages? A: Bilingual.
Q: What do you call a person who can speak three languages? A: Trilingual.
Q: What do you call a person who can speak only one language? A: American.
