Penn is a dude I don't really like, teller on the other hand is a dude I really do like so the act is balanced out. Their opeining trick was predictable and boring. The act was a lil' old as seen before by other magicians. I'm not dissing on the trick itself, just how it was presented. The fish was a lil' twist in the mix but was a lil' dry (not talking about the fish texture BTW ).
Pretty cool at times but parts could get boring. When the second card trick dude came on, I was like "Awwww man, I'm sick of card tricks"... The third card trick dude proved me wrong. I thought that locating the 4 aces with the random (or shall I say FOOL) shuffles was freakin' AMAZING! .
The head swap was AMAZING also .
Others were a lil' boring as I've said before. The trick itself along with the presentation brings the whole entertainment aspect of the show. So I think comedic and/or charismatic persona plays a big part.
Penn and Tellers closing trick with the spilled guts wasn't surprising to me as it's part of their M.O or calling card. Sorta like waiting for Homer to say "DOH!"
WHAT I CANT FIGURE OUT is in part 7 (4:58) is how he turns 3minutes into a micro second.... .... It just blows me away Posted by Andy-Laa (Member # 31511) on :
Penn - he's a love or hate, granted. But a fucking nice guy when it comes down to it.
Teller: he's just awesome and he's the real magician to be honest.
I thought the first trick was pretty cool (never seen it before) the second trick...eh. They did 2 awesome ones for the show I went to though
The thing I wasn't a huge fan of with a lot of the card tricks was...it didn't appear to be any kind of magic - for example, the one you liked: he was locating it...like...that's just a skill isn't it?

^^Yeah not too fond of card tricks either with the exception; in a big show? Nah, don't think so,,,, but one-on-one or small group I think is pretty cool to see or perform. I had a short phase interest in card tricks used to do in front of friends and family members watchin' a few "how to" tricks off youtube. Anyhoo.....

Yeah, a hell of an amazing skill. I would see it as "magic" is to make something seeminly impossible be possible and this would be a mild form of it maybe? ..... or maybe you could call it "semi-magic" Posted by Keyfeet (Member # 27313) on :
i hate british shows with a passion. (cant stand the accent, and just how boring their humor is) but i watched bc of P&T
