So I decided to drop a bombshell at work, and accuse my manager of sexual harrassment! I feel I was in the right on my accusations against her; but during the meeting yesterday with the company G.M's, I was fired for something completly different! Their excuse was that I fabricated the harassment story, just too keep from being fired for the other problem,( I was wrote up a few times for being late). A friend mentioned i should have had a arbitrator in the room with us; would that have applied to me? And Im hiring a lawyer tomorrow, but female sexual abuse cases are not commom, should I hire a male or female lawyer to represent me? Opinions help; calling me a pussy for standing up for myself does not!

You are definitely not a "pussy"! Sexual harassment goes both ways, despite what the mainstream wants you to believe. Congrats for standing up for yourself. [Smile]

And I think you should go for the best lawyer you can afford; their sex shouldn't matter.

What is the name of that company I can use a female to sexual harrassment? How does her feet look,
You idiot you have got to learn how to play the game. Damn how she look as long as her feet are sexy. Damn, female sexual harrassment is rare. But, again you got learn how to play the game without getting a sexual harrassment case against you. It's too late now!

Intelligent answers to the problem at hand would be greatly appreciated! What is "The game" bty, and how am I getting a case against me since "Its too late now"! When you finish middle school and start making sense; feel free to post again.
And to clarify things, shes 5'2, about 220, and sporting enough grease in her hair to polish the Lincoln Memorial! So I absolutlely did not want to view her feet in anyway, shape or form!
Thanks for your input Rider [Thumbs Up]

I am not going to explain to you what is the game since you are above middle school and I suspect you are a college graduate. To believe you got fired over a woman who is 5'2 and weight 220lbs is unbelievable, is the reason you inserted my education level. Because of what your college professor didn't tell you is the reason you should get some of you money back. [Cry] This is not an insert this is a FOOT fETISH (WU'S FOOT FORUM) SITE. However, a truth women feet lover don't care about height & weight! [Woot]

Her feet shoulnt matter. I can tell u that I got some monsters at my job. I got a suprvisor who look like abroke ass whoopi goldberg and an attitude that screams "I haven't been laid in years". U couldn't pay me to tame that shrew.

And regardless of that maybe our op has a significant other he wishes to remain faithful to,but that doesn't matter.

Get the lawyer. Talk to a couple different ones to see if u have a case. Have u ver made any formal complaints about this harassment? That could make or break a case.

BS.

If a woman is too fat, then I'm not going to give her a chance. Either with feet or otherwise.

i know youre filing against a woman. the sex of the lawyer shouldnt matter. they want money, and as long as u arent clearly sexist, then a woman lawyer should have no problem helping you. after talking to 2 or 3 you should know if you have a case.

well first off, i have to take your side [Cool] , bc not only are you one of our foot friends, your story sounds very convining. not to mention that btw you desrcibed this woman, she sounds like a monster [Puke] . she should be scaring little children on halloween, not hitting on you [Laugh] . and what did your female manager do to you that made you feel the need to file sexual harrasment? please be as specific as possible. [Secret]

but female sexual harrasment worse. bc girls know they can get away with it. [Mad]

for them to accuse you on fibbing about something like that is unacceptable. [Nut Kick]

and as far as gender of lawyer, i think you should choose someone that you think is best suited for your case, and in your price range. dont only go to all males, or all females, you might miss out on a great lawer. [Violent]

however, i have seen more MALE lawyers win big cases, but might just be bc there are more lawyers.

Lets just say; If a female manager consistantly massaged my stomache and chest while standing behind me in a 110* kitchen, and I felt intimidated to say something to her because she is my BOSS; she can cut my hours, refuse my requests for days off; and the big one is she was currently doing evals, so there goes my raise! Should I have told her to stop?
Or go to upper mgmt like I did? And thats where I got fired!

Sorry to hear this. Are there any other employees there going through the same thing with this woman? It would probably wouldn't hurt to talk with a few of your now ex-coworkers to see if this is just an isolated incident. The upper managers aren't really going to want to play a cover up game for this person if other people start filing complaints or can speak to them as witnesses on your behalf.

Is there a human resource department where you worked and is there also an official anti-sexual harassment guide they use?

I remember a talk show once bringing out several guys who filed sexual harassment complaints at their workplace and practically none of them got any kind of recourse. One of them won a lawsuit over it, but was awarded $1. Yes, $1. He would get to work to find condoms laying across his computer, would have his ass slapped, etc. He told his wife and his wife was mad. She talked him into saying something and in turn, was also let go. When he filed the claim and went through the court case, that was when he won his dollar.

I don't know what to say. It really sucks being the sex, race, or religion that is considered the majority sometimes when it comes to these things.

Is a bit more complicated than a straight up 'sexual harrassment' case! A month ago, a girl accused a male mgr of sexual harrassment. There was a 2 week hoodoo involving the Human Resources manager and the interviewing of about 20 employees; myself included. I file my complaint on sunday, I get fired on wednesday! Im thinking, hmmmmmmmmm; Is that discrimination or what?
