The day that the set below was shot did not start off too well. Our first location, a train station, had to be scrapped because it was under construction and closed to the public. So we made our way to the second location.
This location was supposed to be at the base of an old concrete train overpass - one that has since been turned into part of a walking trail. The overpass is in a state of decay and I thought it would be neat as a backdrop. Well, when we got there (after walking more than a mile on the trail), the shoreline was so soft/wet where I wanted to shoot, there was no way to safely take pictures there.
I tried my best to relocate along the shoreline, but there was such a big bend in the stream the overpass was lost outright as a background. Making due, we switched to a fallen log in a sandy spot right off the trail and Mindee got those angelic size 8 soles on display. Before she was barefoot, however, she did a little flip flop removal first. After walking a mile along the trail and then being in such a sandy spot, those soles were just a tad bit dirty once they came off. Still, too damn cute.
