After almost a year straight of having my toes polished, I felt they needed a break and to be allowed to breathe.

I used to go bare all the time but now when I see my toes naked of polish and no nail art, they look so ..... so..... I can't even think of a word to describe them. Soooooooo - plain and ordinary I guess

But in the spirit of variety and in the spirit of letting my nails stay healthy -- I'm sharing these pics with you all.

I love natural nails and yours are awesome! There's nothing wrong with them and sometimes the plain look is perfect. Love it!

Well, the reason I decided to give them a break was the last few times I went for my pedicures, there were dry white lines that I would have to have buffed out before she could paint - I figured this meant they were getting drieds out...

So I removed the polish this time, buffed them and saturated them with a nice oil ... and of course I've been moisturizing every night! It's summer and walking around barefoot all the time you need to keep the soles hydrated so they stay soft!

The way I look at it is if I didn't let them go natural once in awhile - they might not stay looking this good!

i've always said this.....without a great platform... you can't have great art. and this is proof. you've got great nailbeds... great peds. and that's why when you do polish, it looks so amazing. the foundation is perfect!!!!

Personally, I like seeing pics like that and not just the naked foot, that doesn't "do it" for me.

Your feet are very beautiful without the polish and in those cute thongs. I would love to lick your thongs clean. I'll bet they smell nice and sweet too.

moldy, you sure know how to make a girl feel special! I guess you're right about having no polish providing a true look at what my toe nails are really like. I am glad they are healthy and work hard to keep them that way.

I'm so used to seeing the length of my nails (and hearing my pedicurist constantly asking me -- do you want to cut them? LOL Nooooooooooooooooo ha ha)- that I never realized it might not be readily noticeable when painted!

As for being sexy.... I love it!

You're right about the sandals - Steve Madden - one of my favorite for shoes!

I am so pleased with all the appreciation of my bare naked nails! It is true that a good foundation really helps - thanks for helping me to remember that RPM!
