It saw late afternoon when I saw this frisky looking couple walking along the beach holding hands, snuggling, and looking so totally love-struck and absorbed with each other that I almost didn't ask, but the girl had this interesting look with her red skirt, boots, glasses, and cute haircut that I couldn't pass up. Turns out they were both very friendly and it was no trouble at all to approach without interrupting. We walked right over to sit on a nearby grassy knoll where she could put her feet up and take her boots off for the cameras. She had been walking around all day in them, so her soles were really soft and pink looking, my favorite. Her boyfriend confessed that he loves them too when asked during the video interview. He watched closely over my shoulder the whole time, but not at all to rush me or guard her, just really interested, and they thanked me afterwards for inviting her to participate.
The next two girls were walking next to me in a thick crowd when I glanced over and started talking to the one in the green top as if we were already in the middle of a conversation. Her friend, not even really paying attention, naturally followed right along as I casually segued into modeling their feet for a few minutes. It went so smoothly that at the end of the shoot, the friend suddenly exclaims, "Wait! You two don't even know each other!?" Nope, we just met.
Two tourists from the east coast had just bought colorful matching pairs of Toms that made for an easy opener.
Saw this girl in the funky sunglasses with cute green toes and asked her if she'd ever done any modeling. Said she hadn't but was excited to have been selected. No experience required, or preferred. Often times it's these sorts of girls who have the most natural and genuine expressions on camera.
I figured this girl in the colorful patchwork top and strappy heels had probably done some modeling, but decided to stop her anyway. She seemed interested, but immediately asked how much it paid because she only does paid work. I told her "Oh, I don't hire models, I just stop random strangers that seem friendly." After all, there are millions of cute girls who love taking photos, and a photographer's time is equally valuable. I was all set to walk away, but she was still curious, so I suggested we go sit right over there and shoot a few photos, where the following shots were snapped.
This short-red-haired girl looked like the type that would be open to unusual/outrageous/spontaneous suggestions, so I just walked right on up and asked. (Also known as a "shocker") Sure enough, it was the last thing she ever expected to be stopped for alright, but she wasn't about to turn me down. Turns out that under those boots she had some nice nails and soft pale feet that rarely see the light of day, but they sure did glow at that particular moment, under the warm California sun, in 3D high definition.

She was with a group of friends, one of whom also had a camera, when I stopped them. Not only was she super hot, but she also had some really nicely shaped feet; perfectly even toes with high arches. Her "photographer" friend was none-too-thrilled, but she was happy to show off for a few minutes. He can be seen giving me the finger at the end of the video.

Yes, she was the friend of the girl in the blue/green top. They were both wearing these matching black flats. The above sole shot was snapped just seconds after she took them off. That's what CBF is all about; real girls, straight out of their shoes, in 3D high definition.

Got quite a few of the ebony/darker skin ladies on this go around. Nice! I've been wanting more variety of girls on my site as far as race goes. Wanna try and get everyone, although I'm thinking Eskimo might be a tough one! LOL... All kidding aside, great stuff.

Thanks Patrick. Los Angeles is quite a diverse place. People from all over the world are drawn here. I never know exactly who I'm looking for when I go out hunting, but I know it when I see it. For me, it's mostly about spotting the right attitude, and that comes in all different varieties; the spice of life as they say.

Time flies doesn't it? 2004 almost seems like a lifetime ago in terms of how much the world, the Internet, and technology has changed. There have been so many challenges and adventures over the years, and in some respects I feel that it really hasn't been all that long, that things have just barely begun to really get going. All good things take a lot of practice and persistence. The best is still yet to come. Thanks for everyone's encouragement and support.
