We often debate whether a girl wearing flip-flops, especially in extreme conditions, is intentionally trying to show off her feet or not. While I believe that most of them are not it always makes me wonder.
That was the case two weekends ago. I was at an outdoor activity in Northern Virginia. It was in the 40's and the wind was blowing briskly. Not ever expecting to see any bare tootsies I was amazed to see two different teenaged girls wearing flip-flops. With apologies for the size and quality (they're camera phone pics) just thought I'd share them with you.
The first girl was wearing blue jeans and a light short sleeve top and white flip-flops with a flower on them. Not long after she got there someone gave her a blanket to wrap around her. As I tried to get close to inconspicuously get a picture, there was many questions and comments about her flip-flops and cold feet. Sorry I could'nt get any closer. She had nice looking feet.
The second girl also had nice looking feet, with only her big toes painted a bright blue with some white lines and spots on them. (Maybe she just had them pedicured?)I was able to get better pics of her as there weren't as many people around and she stood still for a while. She didn't seem to be bothered by the cold at all, not trying to cover up her feet or anything.
So what do you think? Are girls wanting to show off their feet more or are they just not even thinking before going out- simply slipping on a pair of flip-flops? Either way I guess us footguys are winners huh?

I love it when a girl doesn't mind wearing flip flops in cold weather at all...after all up here in Canada there can sometimes be a long period between foot sightings...but when I spot a girl braving the conditions it is like a special treat!

hey outback! a fellow canuck! guys I swear to god there was a girl wearing flip flops yesterday! there is about a cm of snow on the ground yesterday too! she had some great lookin peds too! and my fav color...if i wasnt in a relationship....
