Anyone ever plays the original on their PC? It came out in 2000 for the PC only. Next week the sequel comes out and for preordering you get DLC codes for the original too. I'm really looking forward to it.

Playing the sequel right now. Its more hack and slash style now, unlike the shooter of the original. They changed alot of characters (which I guess makes sense), but its still got the violent and horrific feel of the first.

Game Informer gave this a 6.75/10. Oh well, I never played either one of them and am going to start with the original that was included with the online pass first. Might be a bit before I get to the sequel, but I'm digging the whole feel of these games.

Okay, I tried the original game from the free DLC that the game came with. I know the game is 10 years old, so I'm not picking on graphics or any of that. But the original is very touchy to play with analog sticks. Jumping can be a mess, but the worst is trying to aim and throw the knife at targets. I would just go toe to toe with them, but the life bar falls too quickly to do that. With the save points quite far away, I died too many times about 45 minutes in from jumps where, to me, it look like I landed, but slipped off or was right on the edge. I got tired of redoing the same section of the game over and over, so I went and started the new game/sequel.
Here is my two cents on the game after playing it for 4 hours and getting through chapter 1. Yes, only through chapter 1 (of 5). I love the look of the game. The controls aren't the greatest, but I've seen worse. Jumping is either really easy or complicated. For the most part though, it's easy. The combat is adequate, but sometimes I lose myself on the screen, especially when I dodge. My only issue with the game really is that sometimes movements and on screen actions cause hiccups or small glitches on the screen or with the sound effects. It's not totally polished.
Overall, I like this game. I still have a lot to play and I'm dying to see where I am going next. Too bad I have to go to work. LOL

i hate when game trailers show so little of the actual gameplay and show nothing but cut scenes.
