[Hop] This game is GRAPHICALLY INSANE!!!! [Hop]

Was just at the video store and rented it out not thinkin' much as decided to choose a game as there weren't any good New Release DVD/BlueRay's out. I'm telling you I ain't dissapointed.

I've played the Original Marvel vs Capcom at the Gaming arcade back in the late 90s and early 2000 via MAME. Wasn't too attached but really dug the 'Mega Proton Cannon' by War Machine and Also from another similar game 'Mega Optic Blast' by Cyclops (X-men vs Street Fighter) which was similar with awesome visuals of a wide beamed rush of light energy.

I've never played part 2 but the step in advanced play and graphics from 1 to 3 is vast.

The thing I don't like about this game is there are no 3punch 3kick controller set up. It's set up is as [Button 1 = 'Low Attack'],[Button 2 = 'Medium Attack'] and [Button 3 = 'High Attack']. Weather they are kick or puches depeneds on the stance, crouch, jump positions. Controls will take a little getting use to if you're the old advanced user having the 6 button controller set up. The pro for this is that it's made for the PS3 controller so it's better in a way as Supers are easily executed by a single button as the usuall DPad+Button configuration. However, if you have the 6 button deck, it will be more fun with the old set up IMO.

Graphics and Special Moves are TOTALLY AWESOME!!!! :Awesome:

I'm still debating about picking this up. I played the old one that was on the first PlayStation. By far the best fighting I've played til this day. Might go scoop it up this weekend

It's great. Just get the Ultimate Version now that they dicked us all over who bought the first version that had less characters and stages. The first version was great, so having those extra fighters has to be even better.

LOL at Patrick saying "they dicked us"

I agree it is a pretty good game. Good selection of characters and nice graphics. But don't kid yourself, Marvel vs Capcom "2" is the best of the series for the following reasons: 1) it has a ridiculous ammount of characters to choose from (much more than part 3 so there is no 'dicking' going on in that department) 2) MVC2 has the classic high medeium and low attacks or what footlongsubzero was calling the 6 button attack which makes for much more technical fighting. Thats all i got, 2 reasons. I am not trashing part 3 but I think what i cited makes a huge difference.

I played part 2 on the Sega Dreamcast (I believe) and loved it. When part 3 came out the Sony Online Store had a port of it for download. I grabbed the demo and man did it feel rough. I don't feel like it aged well, but that might be because of how fluid the new one is.
