Sooooo, what you fellas think? I'm a xbox guy personally, and after watching the reveal of it I'm sold on the xbox. I considered the PS4 but the xbox seems to offer more of a "wow" factor. Plus Bluray lol

Only concern is the fact that you can't play used games apparently...they haven't confirmed or denied it but it being a blu ray machine as well means that it isn't backwards compatitible right? Hopefully the E3 conference clears up the bullshit floating around, as well as I hope they announce a final selling price/release date.

As of right now, there is a lot of crap that I and many people hate about the X1.

1. A fee to play used games, since the game is tied to the account that first installed them. Said be is said to be the retail price of the game (so if true, then you'd be paying up to and over $100 when buying a used game).
2. Kinect must be attached at all times (luckily it comes with a Kinect), and the Kinect will be monitoring players.
3. Has to connect to the Internet at least once every 24 hours, or else the console stops working.
4. Is not backward-compatible with the X360, and it's possible that Live accounts may not transfer over.
5. Greater focus on the multimedia aspects of the console.

The PS4 will likely and is confirmed to do some of the above as well (especially with the used games thing, since that's how publishers are), so I'm going with the Wii U. ...Well, I was going with Wii U regardless, but that sealed the deal.

i've always been a playstation guy anyway. i cant understand the point of paying extra to play multiplayer. actually, what really sold me on PS is grand turismo. also my sons have xbox360 and i've had to replace 4 of them due all kinds of stupid defects and shit.. and none of them were the dreaded red ring of death.

I started out as more of a PS guy, then I switched to the XBOX, now, I'm favoring the PS again. My fiance and I go back and forth between each others places, and we refuse to pay to bring our games over. That's ridiculous. Too many restrictions on the new XBOX. And for the price of it, I'll either buy a PS or a new PC.

If anyone has an XBOX 360 and has any problems with it, message me. I might be able to help fix it. I've fixed multiple boxes so far.

I think I'm done with new video game consoles. I have a PS3 and 360. Hopefully they'll continue to release games for them after the release of the new consoles.

Here is the latest article I found about the new X-Box deck. It gives the highlights about Microsoft's digital rights management as well as other features the deck will have.

http://tinyurl.com/ly5jfdm

For me, I have always been a Sony man since my PS One, and I am on my second PS3 deck since my OG deck finally gave out at the end of last year. I will buy a PS4 regardless as I like gaming regardless. As far as the new game policies rumored about the new PS4 and online issues, I have no problem with them so far...my deck is always connected online, I never sell my old games (I like to collect), and I can count on one hand how many used games I have bought since my PS One days.

I think the only dig I might make would be lack of backwards compatibility of PS3 games....but when the PS3 first arrived, I tried to play PS2 games on it, and it was rough. The graphics were just to hard to look past after playing PS3 games. I suspect it would be the same to go from PS4 games back to PS3 games.

We'll see what Sony has to say later.

Regards,
2swift

Had a PSone about 11 years ago, Xbox back about 9 years ago, played my housemates and girlfriends 360, but I will always seem to go back to PlayStation (my first console).
Based on the specs and price, if I had the money, I would go for the PS4

I like what both systems have to offer. What makes the XB1 so interesting is it can be used to control everything. But I've always been a Playstation fan and will get the PS4. But I won't get it probably until 2-3 years after its release. My PS3 is doing just fine.

Just preordered the XboxOne, took the plunge. I usually only cycle between 2 or 3 games a year anyways(Call of Duty,NHL games and the UFC then throw in a random game for fun) so the used game issue doesn't affect me at all. I'm always connected online anyways so really the PS4 doesn't have anything new to it to appeal to me. I like the fact that I can cycle between all my devices(tv,xbox, internet, netflix etc) while I have it turned on instead of having to turn off xbox then switch over to the tv.

Anybody else pre order the Xbox?

For what it's worth I asked the guy at BestBuy on how the Xbox vs. PS4 sales are doing and he said Xbox is way ahead of the PS4 surprisngly, but I think as time goes on and more articles get released to the public on exactly what the Xbox and PS4 is offering it's becoming more and more clear which one is actually an upgrade. Xbox is pushing boundaries and trying to change the way we game.

I've always been with Playstation. I'm behind on purpose, meaning, when the PS3 was first released I didn't buy one til 3 yrs later. I was still playin PS2 games up until that point, cheaper games & walk-throughs help was always readily available.

Heck I'm still playin a PS2 game now, set myself a goal of obtaining $99,999,999 pesetas on Resident Evil 4. Don't ask me why lol, been at it since October last yr and am now just a little over $95mil. Games I've been meaning to get to are on the back burner because of; RE6, Hitman Absolution & Splinter Cell Blacklist. I'll be cool with the PS3 for a while.

By the time I purchase a PS4; reviews, help, hacks, cheats would be readily available to get around all this used game, internet 24hr nonsense. Wouldn't be surprised if console gamers go PC.

It's PS4 for me, but maybe 2015-16 ish. Theres more than enough PS3 games to keep me entrtained til then.
