i know some women know that men like us are out there and they appreciate there feet especially when they go all out and decorate there feet and bring attention to it. i have a friend who got a tattoo on her foot, she always wears sandals or flipflops. she hates to haveher feet covered and her toes are always painted. yet when i asked her if she did it cause she knows others look at her feet, she said she didnt even know people paid attention that much and that she did it because she liked it. shes not the first girl either. i have a girl i work with who has a second job in an ail salon and this girl always has designs on her fingernails and toenails. yet she does them because she likes it. i've also had plenty other conversations with girls who say they didnt know men looked at there feet. now im just wondering do you guys ever question if you see a girl with nice feet if she did it because she wants her feet to look nice cause others check them out? or if she just did it cause she liked it? sometimes i see a nice pair of feet with a lovely pedicure like a bright color and a ankle bracelet and toering. now with all that attnetion i just assume the lady would expect someone to tell them they have nice feet. and women like this i feel have no reason to get freaked out because its just a compliment.

what do you guys think?

I really don't think a lot of women paint their toenails, wear ankle bracelets, toe rings, etc., do it intentionally just to draw attention to their feet. I think it has more to do with what fashion dictates is "in". Maybe on some subconscious level they're doing it to get some kind of attention. However, I don't think attracting the attention of foot guys is first and foremost on their minds and I can see how some women would be surprised to find out that some men look at their feet and find them a turn on.

The only women I know who will do it intentionally are the ones whom I've told about my foot fetish. It's always a cool thing if I see a woman who knows about my fetish and they quietly ask me, "Do you like my toes?" as they show them off to me.

As much as we hate to admit, I think most of us are aware of this. One of the strongest pieces of evidence that I've seen over the years has been the wearing foot jewlery spreading into middle-aged women and even senior citizens, who didn't have very attractive feet. Very evident that they're not doing it to make people look at their feet (hopefully). Consequently I became very quickly cognizant that it was very much a peer-pressure, group mentality kinda thing for many. That being said however, I was very glad that it spread like wildfire "through the ranks" because it was that much more visually and psychologically convincing for my wife to get on-board when "everyione else" was doing it.

I always compliment a young woman with nicely pedicured toes if she's wearing sandals or flip-flops. I figure why would she go to all the trouble if she doesn't want people to notice. All the ones I've ever talked to about it were happy.

While they may not be handing out engraved invitatons to give her toes a tongue bath they do appreciate the attention.

I have a hard time believing a woman with attractive, well cared for feet, that just so happens to have salon-style nail art on her toes, does not notice guys noticing her feet.

They know.

My ex, who has the most well-cared feet I have ever seen never thought that guys looked or cared about her feet. She gave herself pedicures every week and whenever her nails chipped she would take off her nail polish and start from scratch. She did it only for herself (up until she was with me for 2 years). Other than that I think she did it for herself and just an overall self image type of thing. I think she's just going back to that now, now that she doesn't have to worry about impressing a guy with her feet anymore.

But yeah, girls I think get toerings, take care of their feet and get pedicures for themselves mostly. To look good overall, not to put attention just on their feet.

Well I have complimented women on their toe art before. I even started athread about it a while back and have had some positive results with complimenting them. I have also talked to women who polish their toenails and claim they do it because their toes "don't look tight without it." So i am under the impression that some women do it out of self conscousness because the may not like their feet to begin with or maybe use polish to cover up blemished or discolored toe nails. As with most things women do, it's hard to decipher the real meaning, even when you ask them outright.

Very true. No different then if they were wearing a nice dress or outfit, just had their hair done, etc. etc.

one woman said it best... they do it for themselves and so that other women won't criticize them. if guys like it, it's an added bonus.. but most guys who do like it never say it. so it's about the girl and mainly about the girl.

one of my friends told me she always did her toes. it's her way of pampering herself and feeling good about herself. and she liikes it when her girlfriends realize taht their toes look bad next to hers. it wasn't until i explained how much some men like it that she started to take notice. now she does a bit more showing off infront of the fellas. but prior to it, it was more a personal thing.

trust me, if they did it for guys' sake, and knew that we liked it so much, they'd not play so shy and coy about their feet like they do. women let us think they do it for us, but in truth, they don't. we're just an added bonus for those who care to notice we care. or they use it as a tool to draw us closer to them.

and here we were all along thinking it was us.

RPM makes a really good point. Guys have to realize that women don't think the same way that men think. Women aren't as turned on visually by things as men are. However, one can look at women painting their toenails, taking care of their feet, etc., as a way to "compete" with other women in the overall looks/beauty department. A woman's strength in attracting guys is her overall beauty. Let's face it, that's what guys look for first, being so visually oriented, and that's the main reason why women spend so much money to look good. However, a woman's strength can be her downfall if she feels like she's not keeping up with the rest of the women, or is told or led to believe that she is not as attractive as other women for whatever reason.

Like RPM said, most women take care of themselves, look good, take care of their feet, etc., simply for themselves and to make themselves feel good. I think another reason they do it is because of the peer pressure, since a lot of women do it and, subconsciously, they probably feel a need to do it at some point to keep up with other women so that guys will also find them as attractive as other "competing" women. I don't think women intentionally take care of their feet to attract men who like feet. If a woman does and ends up liking a guy who's into feet and it is brought to the forefront, only then may it become intentional on the woman's part.

Ghost has really made me think as to why some women do freak out when a man compliments her feet. Based upon Ghost's statement, has lead me to think that the women who do freak out didn't have the intention of attracting guys with her feet. This has really helped me understand now.

My ex wife love wearing flip flops but had know ideal that some guys like to look at women`s feet, until she met me. I remember this one girl I knew who had very sexy feet. She wore flip flops all the time and wore a toe ring. I will never forget the look she gave me when I told her she had nice feet. She gave me a look as if I was A sicko. My girlfriend now has pretty feet and wears flip flops all the time. She is just now starting to get into the fact that I like feet.

the one that always gets me is when a woman paints her toes but not her fingernails ! what message does that send to a foot fan ?

i guess it all boils down to how much the attention is wanted or not as to how the woman reacts to any sort of compliment.
