Why do we again have to see the headlines such as foot/perv. Taking pics of a girls feet is not the perversion here. His mistake was trying to get underage girls to pose for him. He is a pedophile and the media needs to make the headlines clear about that. This headline made it seem as if the crime is his love for feet.

Shitty part is, even if a girl of LEGAL age told the cop what he was doing he still could be in the same spot he is in.Makes you wonder what the hell we're supposed to do..tell women and girls they can't show any feet or toe in public because it has become the new "genatil" for some people?I personally don't think he is in the wrong,cept for maybe under-estimating their ages.Now if he is an actual pedafile,and has priors,send him away!

that's a very good point which in fact worries me more than just the pedophile part (which is plain and clear).
it's the subtlety of perversion that is mixed into this (as part of the deed) that makes it potentially harmful on a larger scale. if some legal aged girl were to report a candid photographer, it seems the authorities would at least have half the case they were crying over this guy.
at least that's they way it seems from all the commotion in the article. I'm almost fearful to use my camera phone at the boardwalk or a park bench, or even a line in a grocery store. being a pervert can seem to get you in half the trouble at least. and I am definitely a pervert for sure

What really help is walking up to women and ASKING them beforehand...for example like the California Beach Feet webmaster. "You have interesting looking feet, may I take a pic of them?" If you`re lucky you can even get a dozen good photos of toes & soles...hell, I´ve found some models that way. And I have hundreds of pictures of women I´ve approached on the street...all for free! Obviously you can also get rejections but it makes the whole thing less creepy if you ask for permission.

I disagree, but my position is based on the laws for my area. I have done lots of candid and it is well within my rights to videotape anything and anyone in a public place where someone does not expect privacy as long as my camera is fully disclosed and has not been modified to zoom beyond its original range. Trust me guys, I have been seen by police as I videotape in open areas. No one has told me to put away my camera except on private property such as malls. Many states in the US are still working on laws to prosecute against people who film upskirt because most laws only address making audio recordings of people. This guys crime in this instance was being a 'public nuisance' by asking these underage girls to pose which made them uncomfortable (this is in addition to any preceding court order her had because he was a sex offender).

I definatley agree, this and ONLY this is the best way to go about things when wanting to take photos of womens feet. But im starting to wonder, this whole perv thing is goin out of control, will it be a matter of time before the california beach feet webmaster steps on the wrong toes of some uptight conservative lady who takes it totally out of proportion (even yelling out perve), calling the cops who then lash onto him and lable him a perv.
I wouldnt be suprised of that happend but id be pretty fuckin pissed of, the more negative headlines, the more freaked out the general public is gonna get and thats all the cops need.

As far as pervertedness though, I'm totally at one with my mine, and because of that level of personal acceptance, I think women actually find me less creepy when I call a spade a spade rather than try to convince them it's something that should be viewed as normal.
that's just my take on the whole freakshow aspect of feet things. it's totally counterintuitve but it works. I've gotten some straight shooter type women to be at ease about feet stuff just because of how honest I was about my kinks, rather than trying to justify it around the bush

I know some members feel candids are wrong and not within their morals. I guess I'm a perv by some of the members definition. I don't get offended because I'm already considered a perv by most of the 'normal' society just for having a love of feet.
