I don't email strangers very often, even footgirls. But on occassion I've been so taken with a pair of feet I've seen in the contributions that I've emailed, sometimes at length, the gal or her website. Out of maybe half a dozen emails total I've gotten one reply.
Now, I'm not expecting any kind of effusive, lengthy, elaborate reply but a short "thank you" or "glad you enjoyed them" would be really nice.
Do these gals normally try to respond to such emails, or are they just soliciting replys to the photo set in order to gauge their "effectiveness"? Given the circumstances it feels like I'm being used as part of a marketing study, and I'm getting very reticent about emailing anyone else.

feetluvr, I know what you mean. You just want to scream about how gorgeous their feet are! And do I agree with you that a short reply would be appropriate? Perhaps. More than that though, I see it as simply good business. But, at the risk of being a bit too cynical here, my sense is:
1. Most of the footgirl sites are either run in conjunction with, or primarily by, their SOs (boyfriend or husband). I'm sure there are exceptions, but I doubt many. That alone creates a natural, and albeit, safe bubble from which to operate. Having one-on-one e-mail conversations with fans is probaby the last thing on their minds.
2. Most of these businesses are very small, home-based ops, with limited budgets and time constraints, Thus, they may get tons of e-mails just like yours, but are just physically unable to reply to them all.
3. Most of the foot girls particpate on this forum for one reason only: sales opportunities. Their postings are often (or always) directing us to their website, clip store, etc, trying to get us to buy something from them. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this of course. I love good-old fashioned capitalism and marketing just like the next person. And yes, again, there are a few exceptions (very few) like popsicle toes and others who are here for the same reason most of us are: to explore the fetish.
When I finally came to accept these harsh realities myself (a long time ago), I was better able to manage my expectations and just sit back and enjoy it all.
My suggestion, therefore, is to continue to send out your notes of appreciation if you want. But don't expect replies. And if by chance, you do get one, well, great. It will certainly be one that you will long remember and appreciate. Instead, though, if you want to compliment a footgirl, why not use this forum. You'll get it out of your system (hopefully!), and you'll help to generate some marketing buzz for the girl. Thus, your odds of getting a reply (here) would be far greater. They'd be foolish not to!

Great points, mjc. That is, pretty much, how I feel about replying to footgirls with compliments. I'm not saying I don't enjoy many pictures that they post, but I realize that time on their end is limited and I'm sure they're trying to run their websites/businesses as expeditiously as possible. Like it or not, that may mean not replying to most emails sent in by fans giving compliments. Although I do agree that replying to most emails is good PR, it can also soak up quite a bit of time, which some of these footgirls may not have. And, unfortunately, replying to emails also raises the risk for potential stalkers, which I'm sure could be an issue of personal security if the stalking goes to extreme.
I also agree that it may just be best to save adoring comments for the Wu Forum and be done with it. If the footgirl in question happens to come in and see it and decides to reply in the post or via a private message, then great. At least she'll know the pics are being appreciated. I make comments on the forum just for the sake of making them because of pics or video clips that I have enjoyed. I approach it from the standpoint of not expecting to receive any reply from the foot models themselves, whether a comment is posted in the forum or if I ever decided to email the girl directly. I think most of us who do take time to respond either here on Wu's or in an email directly to the girl in question should not expect a response. After all, I'm sure these people have their own busy lives to attend to and can't sit around responding to every single compliment or email they get. It would be great, sure. But in reality, it's probably not possible.

these girls must have failed Business 101, it isn't smart business to not respond
if i'm under the impression that the girl isn't nice why would I want to give her money?
I don't want to hear some "i'm busy" excuse
it takes two seconds to type out the words "thank you"

Most of these women know that theyll get paid for the shoot whether they respond to your email or not. Most of them arent in it for the long hall either so gaining internet "fans" is a very low priority.
I dont blame them for not repsonding. I can bet half my paycheque 99% of their fans email something like:
"ur so hot. Kool soles. Can u sedn me sum pics? Do u have messenger?"
Obviously your not going to want to respond to someone who sounds like a 12 year old boy.
