I must admit that I'd never see anyone actually "blow out" a flip-flop as described in "Margaritaville"- until last weekend.
I was working at a large outdoor festival when I saw a girl walking with a semi-limp toward the tent I was working in. As she entered the tent, I saw the reaosn for the way she was walking. One side of the thong on her flip-flops had completely broken away from the sole of the flip-flop. She kinda had to scrunch up her toes a bit and slide her foot forward in order to keep it on her foot. She had great feet too!
Anyone else seen a "blown-out" flip-flop?

Six years ago in high school, my friend blew hers out and she went one foot bare for a while and mmmmm it was nice..although I was more naive about women's feet back in 2002, if it happened today I would have been more involved with it! Funny enough, though, I'm still friends with her to this day and it is her and her foot teasing that led me to this forum.

That's what I was hoping to see. It was such a chore for her to try and walk on her broken flip-flop, that I thought at any minute she'd just kick it off and go barefoot- at least with that foot. There was some tape on the end of the thong, so she'd obviously tried to fix it, but it didn't hold.
We were in a huge, open, grassy field where everything was smashed down because of foot and vehicular traffic. Her feet would have gotten dirty, but she had little rick of being injured by anything. hey guys i hav to admit i myself hav had a blow out flip flop, although i didnt know it actually had a name lol.
i wear flip flops all thro the summer and always end up with the dodgy tan lines to last most of the winter lol.
anyway this has happened to me loadsa times as flips flops r not as strong as other sandals/shoes. thing is wen it happens as a girl we try to pretend like it hasnt cos it can b a lil embarrasing, unlike wen im strollin home drunk from a nite out (on the odd occasion) i tend to get pissed take my boots/shoes off and walk home bare foot with a kebab in one hand and my shoes in the other............. this however dont seem embarrasing at the time
i have also been known to take my heels off and walk bare foot wen im not drunk, sometimes if they hurt real bad u just hav to, the last time i did this i was in central london, i got a few funny looks but oh well ;-)

its the thing i do most wen im pissed tho.......
i dont get out much as ive got a baby who takes up a lot of my time, so once in a blue moon wen i do get out its like whoooooo hoooooooooo
i get carried away , put the sexiest ever shoes/boots on and erm attemp to party all night in em. my feet always kill the next day but wen i look bak i think sod it it was worth it lol
