There are a few members on here who have animated GIFs as sig files or avatars and everytime I go to one of those threads, it just bogs down my browser until in loads.

I guess I need to buy a faster computer... I can't imagine what it would be like if I was on dial-up like some still are on here....

Depends on where the user has their .gif stored it seems. Most users .gif sigs dont bother my machine, some do. My pc and ISP are not slow by any stretch.

I think its the difference between using a broadband connection and the old fashioned dial up. Web screens all load almost instantaneously on my system so animated gifs don't even cross my mind as bogging down a page like they used to in the 90s on dial up. I can remember waiting up to 15 minutes for a page full of feet pics to load up when I had the old 14400 bps modem plugged into the phone jack around '94. That would be with no animation or video either. We were patient for our porn then I guess. (waves cane and shakes fist from rocking chair) [Laugh]
