Just imagine all your foot related fantasies being fulfilled that couldnt possibly have been done in the real world (insert favourite celeb here).
I have been able to become aware and take control of my dreams many times in the past but it was rather unpredictable ocurrances merely happening every now and then. I tried the methods mentioned in this vid and it worked the first time i tried it very briefly, didnt work the 2nd or 3rd time though.
thought id just throw it out there for anyone interested in this. Those who arent interested, just bypass this thread like it was never there and have a nice day :-)

I studied lucid dreaming myself by reading articles and books and have experienced many. I remember one dream in particular where I just wanted to be a millionaire, so I made myself end up at an ATM (oddly, in the middle of the jungle, and before I checked my balance I told myself I should have millions, and I did, so I withdrew a 50 million dollar bill (1 paper) and I was going around buying cars and houses having 500 girlfriends in all countries in the world (I would just think of a place and poof I'm there)... Before buying anything I convinced myself that it should cost a dollar or less, I would hand in that 50 million bill and they would give me back the same bill but it would have a different number on it (49,999,999)... good time good times, I need to get back in it though, it needs a lot of dedication and a pure mind.
One of the most significant tips I can give anyone who wants to get started:
Usually you have plenty of dreams, even if you think you don't dream much. By the time you wake up in the morning, many dreams are completely forgotten. Make it a goal to have a notepad and a pen next to your bed and if you wake up from a dream half way through your sleep, write down what you dreamed about in details then go back to sleep. In other words, have a journal that is specifically for your dreams. In the morning, read what you wrote, sometimes it will seem like you're reading something for the first time, but then it'll seem like it's all coming back to you (The same feeling you get when you get drunk and do crazy things, then forget about what you did, but when your friends 'refresh' your memory, you start remembering..) Over time you will have control over your dreams. When you read what you did in your dreams, try to think about what you would have changed about that dream or how you would act if you were in that dream again....

Interesting question, im not quite sure if you can smell anything in dreams but that could simply be me not being able to up to this point, who knows.
its got a forum with experts that have been doing it for a long time, perhaps you could ask them?
Although if you do ask them, its probably best to ask about smelling something like a cake or a nice dinner or something, not feet. :S
