So today i was browsing through my 102 gigs of foot fetish porn when my computer ramdomly shut down. It was the first time it has ever just shut down. When I turned it back on and went to the file where everything was it was all gone. So now all of the pics and vids I have been saving since i was 15 are gone. [Cry]

Dude.
That blows chunks.

To make you feel better, I created a set of feetpix that I took, that have never seen before by anyone else. Not much, but might take the edge off. You can find them here:

The next thing you should do is visit newegg.com and check out the good deals on backup drives.

Peace out.

How is that even possible? Are you sure? I've used computers since I was 12ish [some in school in earlier years but personally since then], I'm now 21, and I've never lost anything and I've always fixed my own computer even when technicians couldn't even figure it out. I'm not really sure if data can just disappear, unless... well you had a massive virus or something, lol. Still kinda odd, unless the drive died. Look up some data recovery programs.

I have worked with computers for over 20 years. It is very rare for a particular set of files to get lost due to a hard drive crash. It is usually an all or nothing thing.

If the hard drive is still working, the files should still physically be there. You may have some luck recovering most if not all of your files with a utility like this -> PCI File Recovery

Nothing has worked yet like you all said it is very weird for something like this to happen. But I really dont want to take it to a shop so they can recover all of that. Im going to keep trying some more things to see if i can recover everything.

Something similar happened to me with my 160GB external drive, but the data loss was my fault since I dropped it. I have most of what I had, but there was some classic stuff from All You Can Feet that I won't ever get again unless they re-release them (please). :/

Now I have one 500GB drive for foot related stuff and another for my photography hobby. I also store a copy of my membership site content on internal hard drive and back these up to DVD. However you choose to back-up your data, consistency is the key.
