This is an interesting story: I just reconnected with a guy on Facebook, who used to be a close friend of mine. We hadnt talked in about 20 years, until this week.
Anyhow, reconnecting with him reminded me of something: One of my favorite foods is cold cheese. This friend absolutely hated cold cheese, for the weirdest reason. One time, in about 1986, when the friend was 18, and his older sister was about 22, my friend's sister took off her shoes, and shoved her bare feet in his face as a joke. My friend told me that his sister's feet smelled like cold cheese. Every time he would see me eat cold cheese, he would get revolted, and be like "Mitch, how can you eat that, just seeing it reminds me of the smell of Andrea's feet, it's disgusting".
Has anyone else heard this, of a person hating cold cheese because they had feet shoved in their face?

Obviously your friend found this to be traumatic, so much so that he has now associated cold cheese with smelly feet. I have always found it interesting on how the brain uses all our senses to determine like and dislike. For me it was fish, my brother loved to fish and one day he decided to be funny and took his catch of the day and chased me all over the backyard, yelling that the fish was going to eat me. To this day, I will not eat fish! I realize that my phobia of fish is irrational and that I can overcome it, but to be honest, the sight of fish really makes my stomach turn. Most likely a side effect to "that day".
I'm sorry to hear about what your brother did with the fish, Danielle. I can understand why you didnt want to eat it. I lived in New England for many years, and I love fish.
I think I've posted on here before about how I used to smell many babysitters feet when I was younger. One of my sitters feet just never smelled, no matter what type of shoes or socks she wore. Many other sitters, and other girls whose feet I've smelled in my life, have had "cheesy feet". This sitter, however, told me she never had "cheesy feet". Thinking back, of the different types of feet odors I've smelled, I'm thinking cheesy was the best, lol.
