a couple of weekends ago, i was at my daughter's rollerskating birthday party and when returning the skates of myself and some of the others, i struck up a conversation with the girl who was in charge of skates and returning shoes. with no non-foot fetish intentions (i am turned off by smelly feet), the subject of stinky shoes came up. she said i don't even smell it any more. i think my sense of smelled is burned out. it was until after that i realized that for some of you guys, that would be a nightmare. what would you feel if you got off on smelly feet and somehow your sense of smell was greatly diminished?

Well I am into the scent of womens feet so it would be a nightmare and it's something I've thought about in the past. No different if one of us lost our vision, we'd never be able to see a womans feet ever again.
I used to work with a guy who was in a car accident and somehow lost his sense of smell and taste. All I could think about was how horrible it would be never to be able to enjoy my fetish to the fullest as I always have been if I was him. But worst of all imagine never being able to taste food again as in this poor guy's case.

It is an interesting notion you bring up. As it happens, the only thing that stinky feet compel me to do is go fetch some soap and water.
Nevertheless, I got to thinking about how I would respond facing an analogous situation:
For example, I find fat/chubby/pudgy toes to be a real turn-off. Well if I wound up in a land where there were only fat feet (or, at least, what I regard as such), I don't think that I would loose my interest in feet but, rather begin to appreciate other facets of feet (e.g. develop a sub-fetish for a certain kind of arch or instep).
Which leads me to think something else:
If I was to wind up in a place where I could feast - in every way imaginable - upon feet such as Mariska Hargitay, Kim Raver, or Elle Macpherson (a few of my faves) BUT ONLY their feet, it might take a little time but I would, eventually, start longing for what is at the other end of those legs (where scent is very important to me).
Just a thought...but I digress...

Honestly my girlfriend's feet have stunk so bad before that I got turned off so that would not be so bad for me.

One thing that you will find here on Wu's is that there are many different things that people like about feet. Please dont feel that "Your Thing" is the only thing. There were so many things that I swore I didn't like about feet until I started reading how certain things made other guys feel...Stinky feet were a NO NO....Then POW....I'm not saying that I want to smell shoes, but there is something about just a slight little stink that turns me on now... This is the one thing about my fetish that I'm secretive about..
