A fellow producer brought this subject up to me. After reading a post ddash made about videography, and then getting feedback from a fellow producer, I know must get a consensus.

Here is my take on this, and this is the reason for the way my videos are shot. I used to watch some foot videos from amateur producers who seemed to be too lazy to get off their backsides to shoot. They would perch in front of the girl, and just sit there [without a tripod mind you]. I would notice certain aspects of the girl's feet, such as high arches, agile toes, heel shape, yet would never get to see anything other than the bottoms of her feet. Yes, I know soles are a very big thing for foot fans, but there is so much more.

So we shoot the video the way we do it to make fans of various parts of the feet happy. They get to see the tops of the feet for contour and nail polish, not to mention any tattoos present. They see arches, heels, and the balls of the feet. Also, inactive or "dead" feet are a no no. Some girls have very unique toe movements that look far more amazing from the side or top than from the bottom.

My fellow producer suggested I take a cue from adult videos, and allow fans time to concentrate on certain parts of the video before going for alternate angles. He said fans might fixate on something for a period of time, and then if the camera changes angles, it prohibits this.

What is your take on this?

I think that's a very astute, critical and accurate observation and one that in general, probabley would prove successful.
I know that personally i would much prefer to see a certain angle or aspect of the feet during the entire video. I do tend to fixate one one aspect most if the time. But of coursework do that means you'd have to shoot a video take for each aspect: soles, toes, arches and also a combo one.

The angle that ddash shoots for most of the sample shoots he shares here is the same one I prefer for videos. I prefer a stationary camera to a moving one.
