I just stumbled across this site yesterday, and I think I'm totally in love with it. My boyfriend has a foot fetish and since we have been together I've discovered that I have just as much if not more of a foot fetish as he does, so I've been curious to learn more about it and try to meet others to explore this with. (We have an open relationship.) I haven't done a lot of digging, but it seems like the foot fetish community is pretty tightly linked to BDSM, which is something I am definitely not interested in. I am a very gentle soul and have just found a tremendous amount of comfort and sexual pleasure in massaging my boyfriend's feet and sucking and licking his toes (I've started doing it when I'm stressed / have a bad day, I just rub & lick his feet while he's sleeping, it comforts me so much). My next question / line of thought has been, I think I didn't discover this fetish earlier because I've always felt so ashamed of my feet and wanted to hide them. I have very big and clumsy feet for a woman (men's size 12 wide shoes typically) so buying shoes is always a chore, and I've also broken my left big toe twice in the past 10 years or so, so the nail is very discolored and ugly even after treatment. I think there's a site called Fetlife where you can meet other people with similar fetishes, never used it myself though. Oh and your feet are quite pretty, they look nice and soft.

Welcome to the forum! Your feet aren't bad at all. Nothing to be embarrassed about having big feet as long as you take care of them. After all, that means there's more of it to worship. I heard about Fetlife, I think it's sort of like Adult Friend Finder.

While it is true that some foot fetish folks are involved with BDSM, there are hordes of us who have little to no interest in it. So this is definitely not a package deal, and you don't have to worry so much about that. I would also say that as a community we are pretty diffuse, so there is not one set of characteristics that defines it or us.
I think the way you meet other foot fetishists is much like the way you meet people in general; put yourself out there and do it! It's the age-old question.
But if you don't want to rely on the Internet or technology, one way to identify and engage with people who are into feet is to make yours somehow conspicuous. For example in a public setting, do one or a combination of the following:
1. Go barefoot, especially if it's a bit brisk out. You don't have to leave your shoes at home, just carry them with you. To us, this clearly signals that you are aware of and interested in your own feet. At the same time, it's pretty innocent to the mainstream--a girl enjoying the cool grass with her toes. I have chatted up several girls who were doing just this, often resulting in me giving them a footrub. I think that if you were to meet another barefooting girl, you could have a lot of fun. National parks/monuments, college campuses, outdoor shopping malls and festivals are all good places.
2. Wear lots of jewelry on your feet. Here are the different messages that foot jewelry says to me personally: 1 anklet --> I'm into fashion accessories 2 anklets--> I couldn't choose between the two 3+ anklets--> I'm really into anklets and I think my legs/feet are cute 1 toering --> I'm into quirky fashion accessories or I'm into fashion accessories from 15 years ago 2-3 toerings--> My boyfriend/husband likes my feet 4+ toerings-> I want everybody to look at my feet. It's OK to engage me in conversation about them. I care about them and think about them beyond fashion accessorization. I think you could have some fun if a girl were to chat you up about your jewelry.
3. Mark your feet with interesting artwork. Like with henna, draw intricate patterns on the tops of your feet. Many of the members of the forum will howl with protest about disliking this, but I think we can all agree that it serves to call attention to your feet. Like the jewelry, if you're shy, people who see it and find it interesting, and who are less shy, will be happy to engage you about it. Note that this is distinct from a foot tattoo. I personally dislike foot tattoos, but in any case the message is different I would say, because tattoos are in vogue. Henna is much more rare to see.
You'll be able to quickly spot gentle souls by how they interact with you.
Finally, about your feet themselves. They are yours, free to love or hate, and you can't trade them in. They have been shaped by genetics and injury. They also have an inherent beauty. We see our own perceived faults in a much less forgiving light than others do. As you get older you'll get more comfortable with yourself. As you interact more in the foot "community," you'll see what we see, and appreciate it the ways we do.

Welcome! Your foot seems cute but honestly, I cannot have an opinion if I don't see your soles. I am a soles man all the way! Also, do you and your boyfriend enjoy the smell of your feet? While some link the foot fetish to bdsm, some of us prefer the natural strong odor of unwashed feet, trapped in shoes all day.

Hey khorryn! Welcome! Like smell_fetishist, I too am a sole man. For me, feet of any size look good if they are shapely. I have been focused on female feet for more than forty years, so I've seen a LOT of feet. Some girls have pretty feet from any angle, but I have seen MANY girls that I haven't really liked from the top view, still, I almost ALWAYS find that I still love their feet fom the sole view. I always say, the perfect feet are the ones that are sole down on my face! LOL

Thank you all for the welcome I have noticed I really enjoy the smell of my boyfriend's feet after he walks around for a day, just nice and earthy smell to it. He gets self-conscious about it and always tells me they're stinky & wants to shower first but I play with them anyway!
