Flats. I've had cowboy boot feet. They weren't as good to me. The smell was stronger but not as pleasant, almost masked by the smell of the boots.

I'll go with cowboy boots since I'm a huge shoe removal guy who especially enjoys removing boots. It's like the difference between unwrapping an elaborately wrapped and tied present for your birthday and pulling a gift card out of a little bag. One is far more rewarding than the other.
