So, I had an iMac scare and even though I have an external hard drive I figured it was time to invest in a cloud of some sort, to store my collection of feet pictures and more importantly videos. I have a 52 GB library so I purchased Apples iCloud 200GB plan for $2.99 per month. Fucking how frustrating. I found out that the pics/vids count against your storage on the iPhone and iPad. WTF????? I'm a huge Apple guy but I cancelled that shit immediately.
I went with Google Drive this morning and I'm currently uploading my entire library. It's viewable on any device (I have two iPads, an iPhone and an iMac) WITHOUT it draining your storage (how could Apple be so dumb?). I'm really digging how easy it is to upload, maneuver, title things...and the videos look great on ALL my devices. I've always been a fan of Google, and Google Drive for documents and such...but now I'm wondering, should get a Google phone next?

Ps. What do you guys use? I'm sure a lot of you have a way larger library than I.

I just back up my own, multiple times. Sounds like you like to have access to all your stuff on all your devices. That doesn't matter much to me, and I have a lot of devices as well.

$1.99 per month for 100GB of storage. But if you pay for the entire year it's $21.59 making it $1.79 per month.
Where and how do you back up your stuff? External hard drive? I have one of those but what if it goes kaput?
I'm able to cancel at any time so I'm gonna give this Google Drive a spin. At least I'll know that no matter what happens to any device, computer, hard drive I have I'll always have my shit in the cloud.

Like I said, multiple sources, including external HDD's. I accept the fact that I may lose some of my stuff. As for the cloud, #1. I don't want to pay for it. #2. Not sure I can trust that "others" can't get access to my content.

It's taking a fuck of a long time to upload all my videos but I'm diligent. And it's working out just beautifully across all devices. I even found a few videos I'd forgotten about that must've been hidden or deleted from my Photos folder.
