As I am now 45 years old, I have found—to my great pleasure—that the range of women/feet that I find appealing has vastly expanded to include so many more ages and types than I used to enjoy.
The first thing that happened was that I gradually went from having a strong preference for clean, smooth, essentially unblemished and uncallused feet to becoming interested, intrigued, and finally fascinated with feet that are dirty, worn, and callused. I would go so far as to say that at this point, I find "perfect" feet somewhat boring!
That happened in my mid to late twenties, coinciding with my move from Long Island, NY to southeastern Florida. The last pair of feet I had enjoyed in NY before moving had in fact belonged to a girl who had danced competitively and she had some corns on her toe knuckles (even in her early twenties) and those disc-like calluses in the centers of the balls of her feet that I have come to think of by the name "dancers' calluses".
When I lived in NY, I thought nothing of the idea of going through any given day with sneakers and socks on. Even hanging around the house, I would be wearing them without thinking. But upon moving to hot-as-hell Florida, I began getting in touch with the side of me that enjoys being barefoot, mostly for comfort's sake, but also for a kind of sensual and erotic thrill (though my foot fetish has never really been focused on my own feet or having anyone do anything to or with them).
Then I found that there exist some "barefoot lifestyle" groups that espouse the sensory and health benefits of going barefoot (including in the kinds of public venues where we've been conditioned to think bare feet are "forbidden"). It was after discovering the "Dirty Sole Society" and the "Society for Barefoot Living" soon after my move that I began to find dirty and/or worn feet (of a woman) quite appealing to me on an aesthetic fetishistic level. (Understand that those two groups emphatically disavow and eschew foot fetishism, probably to keep it from getting too weird and/or scaring non-fetishists off.) As I said, at this point, I find "perfect" feet somewhat boring. I do believe I prefer a girl's feet to be at least slightly dirty and have at least some calluses. If you'd asked me about that when I was 12 or 15 or 18 or even 20 I probably would have had the exact opposite feeling.
Subsequently, whereas I wouldn't have considered the mature, sometimes weathered feet of a woman in her forties or even her fifties to be appealing at all, when I was in my twenties, I find that now they have quite a heightened appeal.
So overall, I feel that I am much better off for the fact that my tastes in feet have evolved to include "less-than-perfect" and "not-so-young." I don't have to look nearly as hard for women/feet to find enjoyable.

My intetest has definitely changed these last few years. I think when I was younger, it didn't really matter. As long as I got to do things to them. Now I think I pay closer attention to the lil details. What footwear women chose. Feet size prportionate to their body, etc.

I have also gotten less picky as I've gotten older. Feet that I would've never given a second look years ago are now in play! Yes, I agree with you in that it opens things up and makes the search easier!
A good looking, well kept woman with a stellar appearance but only OK feet can turn me on almost as much as a perfect set of feet from a young, screwed up chic.

Pjay, I agree with you, in more ways than one. My fetish evolved over the years as well. It started with me seeing only clean feet and wanting them. Then after a trip to Tokyo, when I was out of college, let me see more Asian feet than I could even dream of. Most of the feet were big, as in Japan at the time, they would not import in shoes bigger than a woman's size 7, so women who had larger feet, would have their toes and heels hang over the edge of their shoes. Then there is a great nail salon in STL called JC Nails and when I go with my wife, I drool and fantasize over all of the Asian nail techs's feet and toes. They make their feet look perfect. I try to sneak photos while I'm there as well. But then I evolved to being attracted by Asian feet. Then a few years ago, I was online and found a site called footfetishmia. Mia, was a young nursing student who had incredible looking toes. She had a simple site and I spent a lot of money, buying clips. So watching her and her toes and her ebony soles made me start to notice ebony feet. So while I want to open my mind about all kinds of feet, it takes a while.
As for clean or dirty and whatnot, I started out all about the clean feet, even loving the smell of soap on feet. But for some reason, that moved to sweaty feet and the stink they create. This moved to watching perfect toes wiggle in food and that made me into liking dirty or messy feet. Would I lick dirt off of a woman's arch? Maybe not, but if the feet are a little dirty, I can still get rise.
Here's a true story:
I went to an all boys high school in st. louis that had a good drama program. They brought high school girls from a local all girls high school, to do the girl parts in the plays and such. I also didn't have a car so I had to wait until about 5:15 to get picked up after school, which is when my dad would come and pick me up, after his job. So, one day, after school, I was sitting in the lobby, on a bench, behind this giant wooden box, that was filled with extra plastic chairs for events in the gym. The box was maybe 4 foot tall and 6 feet wide and deep. So, I was sitting behind it, doing my homework and chilling.
Now, it was a day that had a play rehearsal so girls were coming in and out and I could see them walk past my view, and up the stairs, on the other side of this wooden crate. Now the area that I was sitting on, had a bench, attached to a brick wall, that went in a U-shape. So, I was sitting and didn't see what was happening on the other side, but heard a boy talk about tickling some toes and heard him tickle a girl's feet. So, I moved myself in such a way that in my vision, I could only see this boy, maybe a freshman, tickle these perfectly tanned, long toed feet. I stared and watched the toes wiggle and twitch and got a noticable hard-on. Now, I know there are those on this board that turn away from anything but female feet. I saw the tickler leave to use the bathroom and I was moving around to say "hi" to the girl and it was another guy. My jaw dropped as I had never seen such sexy toe tickling and it was a guy. I repressed that in my head to this day because most foot guys, refuse the idea that a guy can have cute feet, because they are homophobic and/or think that liking a guy's feet makes them gay. At the same time of this event, I had my own room in my parent's house and my own computer and I went straight home to look at foot porn, like normal, but found myself looking at shemale feet, instead of just normal feet. I too didn't want to admit that I was getting aroused by a guy's feet so I found images of girls, with guy feet and I found myself an entry into TS feet by accident.
Some time later, when I had my foot site, I got an email from TS Mallory and fell in love with her/his feet.
Every once in a while, I see some guy who just gets his feet done at the nail salon, complete with nail polish and they shave his feet, so they look all too feminine, but he is all man above his ankles. Sometimes, I think about those feet too.

I grew up in the 80s and I originally had a nylon/foot fetish. I really only liked pantyhose and stocking feet which were actually quite plentiful in the 80s when women still wore them regularly. In those days, you saw women in hosiery everywhere; in offices, in departments stores, in banks, on TV, and in the movies. It was common to see a lady dangle her shoes off of nylon covered toes and kick their heels off to put their stocking feet on the couch. What a great time!
Then, the 90s grunge era happened and pantyhose/nylons/stockings all but disappeared. Not only did stockings fall out of fashion but women viewed them as a male enforced oppression, like the bra burnings of the 60s! At the same time, the flip flop generation came about and my true foot fetish really developed. I was really forced to admire pretty bare feet. I still love nylon feet and tights have made a bit of a comeback recently but I am attracted to pretty feet no matter what they are wearing now. Its funny how you grow as you get older.
