Ok, I believe the election is over. Obama won that's my thought. Now, my question is hasn't he, his campaign, and the media set the man up to fail?

Obama claims he's going to:

Reform Social Security
Cut Taxes
Negotiate World Peace (Basically that's what he said)
Have All (or most) Countries Love the USA Again
Bring Our Economy Back
And Many Other Things I Can't Think Of...

All of this and whatever unexpected things come his way. Do you believe this is possible? I don't. The Man is a failure already cuz no president has ever reformed the country like he says he's going to.

Below is part of an interesting article about how bad Obama's plane smells and how un-organized his staff, and campaign are.

And he's going to change the world? What a bunch of dumb Americans!

"After most of the previous 12 months covering Barack Obama’s campaign for the presidency, it was interesting, instructive and, well, relaxing to follow John McCain for the last few days. The differences between the two are striking. …

Obama’s campaign schedule is fuller, more hectic and seemingly improvisational. The Obama aides who deal with the national reporters on the campaign plane are often overwhelmed, overworked and un-informed about where, when, why or how the candidate is moving about. Baggage calls are preposterously early with the explanation that it’s all for security reasons.

If so, I would love to have someone from Obama’s campaign explain why the entire press corps, the Secret Service, and the local police idled for two hours in a Miami hotel parking lot recently because there was nothing to do and nowhere to go. It was not an isolated case. …

The McCain folks are more helpful and generally friendly. The schedules are printed on actual books you can hold in your hand, read, and then plan accordingly. The press aides are more knowledgeable and useful to us in the news media. The events are designed with a better eye, and for the simple needs of the press corps. When he is available, John McCain is friendly and loquacious. Obama holds news conferences, but seldom banters with the reporters who’ve been following him for thousands of miles around the country. Go figure.

The McCain campaign plane is better than Obama’s, which is cramped, uncomfortable and smells terrible most of the time. Somehow the McCain folks manage to keep their charter clean, even where the press is seated."

First off, you didn't include a link to your source. Second off, every presidential candidate, Democrat and Republican, makes promises that they may not be able to keep. He may not be able to do everything he says (in fact, he most likely won't), but the fact that he tried, IMO, is better than not doing anything at all which seems to be the McCain's major theme. Also, I suspect the reason his staff is overworked and campaign quarters are cramped is because he is running a tight ship, saving his money for advertissments and to reach the people which is important. Pissing away money is one of the reasons Hillary Clinton's campaign imploded. Its very fiscally CONSERVATIVE wouldn't you say? [Smile]

I agree with you disconnected no one man can do everything but unlike Bush who said the U.S. is not into nation building. That the tax cut would create millions of jobs and he would bring the country together. How did all the stuff he said worked out. Just look how Obama has ran his campaign, he didn't have to loan himself money or have a staff shake-up. By the way Obama doesn't have anything to do with his airplane smelling unless his campaign is not paying the aircraft ground crews and they are getting fuel and other ground services. Well, no I think that he just has tons, and tons, and tons of money. Some of it coming in illegally.
I just can't get over what a shady character Obama is. All I had to see was Wright and Phleger spewing their hatred on the tele, and the radical William Ayres bombings that left two of his good friends dead from making the bombs. These are radical, leftist clowns and you can bet Obama is right in line with MOST of their way of thinking.
Baffling to me!!!!

Here's the link. The plane being smelly is NOT the focus of this story I just used it to grab your attention. The focus is how one reporter found the ENTIRE OBAMA CAMPAIGN to be un-organized, rude, and lastly "smelly."

I think the reporter is grossly mistaken, I've volunteered on numerous occasions for the obama campaign (canvassing in Virginia), and the staffers couldn't have been more nicer. As far as being unorganized, they raised more than $150 million last month. Seems like they've got their shit together if you ask me.
