Seriously, check this out. The fuckin union is trying to blame walmart for a bunch of impatient fucks for BREAKING DOWN THE DOORS AND TRAMPLING A MAN TO DEATH.

Asking questions such as "where was the security?" walmart should have had a shit ton of security guards at a shopping center where the CUSTOMERS TRAMPLED THIS POOR GUY???

ITS A SHOPPING CENTER FOR FUCK SAKES. Yes, malls have security guys walking around, hell the denny's my girlfriend works at has security guards on weekends, they can't carry weapons, and all they can really do is make you leave if you're disorderly. What was a couple of security guards gonna do if the man couldn't unlock the doors if the people broke them open and ran into the store?? It's all walmart's fault i'm entirely positive now... WTF is wrong with people? blame the retailer for their own employee being trampled by impatient fucks? Yeah, i'm sure it's their fault he got trampled. And to top it off they insist his family and people injured in the incident be financial compensated by walmart? Just cause i work where i do, asides from me having life insurance through my job, if i get killed accidentally or by something that really was at no fault but irresponsible impatient assholes, it's not my jobs liability to pay my family anything.... REALLY???

Ok here's the story from CNN

The article says that by 5am in the morning more than 2000(!) people had formed in front of the shop doors. I have to agree with the union that it seems like Walmart`s security precautions were not sufficient for this mass of (aggressive) people. They could have seen this coming...controlling a few thousand people takes more than a couple of security guards or a handfull of policemen. Even if the death of their worker was not entirely their "fault" I believe that it wouldn`t hurt them financially to pay a compensation to the victim`s family, considering that they are a multi-billion, multi-national corporation and the world`s largest retailer.

PS. I moved this article to the politics section.

I saw a short video on this online. I heard that when they tried asking people to leave because a man was dying, people were complaining that they had been waiting around too long to go anywhere. I also heard on the video that witness' were saying that people were just walking over the guy, trying to get to the stuff they wanted. Thats pretty horrible. Would this be considered murder in a way? I mean, it was accidental, but it was something that could have been prevented.

... and people wonder why I hate christmas. The whole deal about giving-a-crap for your fellow neighbor is drowned out in this pathetic need to get items on sale.

Purely Wal-Marts fault legally since it happened on their property during "business hours". However, in the future have a line in the parking lot with only the first 100 or so people go in at a time every 10 minutes or so..or don't have a black friday sale period. People are selfish wild animals with no self control..hell maybe even bring the military in point M-16 in people's faces if they fight over something LOL that would get the point across.

I honestly see no way in it being the store's fault. The people outside the door BROKE THEM down. Said so in the article. The guy just got the key in it and they busted them open and ran him down. I mean really, how in the hell is it the stores fault? I don't see any reason why they should have to pay for what the people on the outside coming in did to him. I really don't. I think those are the people who should be charged, and knowing walmart, the security camera would be able to show those people, and if it was 2000 people, they should all help pay for his family along with what ever insurance he may have had through walmart (which from the article is a bit tacky, but hey, he still chose to work there) Wasn't his fault, nor the company's it was asshole impatient fucks that just care about themselves, and most of all THEIR MONEY. Ohhh gotta get all the sales at ANY Cost. This case, a mans life who was just doing his job.

But they won't prosecute the 2000 people who blew through the doors, that'd cost too much in the court system (again, a money issue) and so they'll go to walmart and demand money from them (again, money)

No amount of money asides from perhaps what the man made to support his family can make up for the loss of his life.

Only here in the good ol' USA is there a stampede to save 20 or 30 bucks off of stuff like iPods, HDTVs, video games, etc..

The sense of entitlement some people think they have when it comes to things like this absolutely boggles my mind.
