Since I began posting actively in here, I've found it something of a haven; being able to log in at various times, catch up on things, see some great foot photos and pass on greetings to many of the excellent forum members here.
A side benefit to all of this is that it's become therapeutic for me, in a roundabout way; as I'm able to log in, get into the "Misc" section and unload my thoughts - or to just wax lightly over something that has happened in the course of everyday life.
I have no idea why in the WORLD I would see fit to write-in and explain publicly about my horrible, humiliating experience of last week, for example. But you know what? After having done so it did help to asuage the embarassment of it all - and to then move on.
Doesn't matter if it isn't read, whether or not it's well-received or ill-conceived - just the simple act of being able to unload and toss it out there is very nice.
I haven't done the "blog" thing yet and I hope it's not abusing the system to say that these forums are as good a method as any of "blogging" out thoughts, ideas and daily experiences. A little online depository with some therapeutic value.

You just hit upon one thing that I really need to learn - limiting things to a few lines. I'm working on that.
Out of curiosity - do you speak English as a second language? I'm often amazed at how fluent and well-written many of the foreign members are, people such as yourself and Gimme, for example. That is amazing to me.

Yes, it is also my second language, just like Gimme. He is from Greece and I´m from Germany. I´m not really good with languages but English is ok. I still learned french & latin in school but suck at those
Do you have to take a second/third languages at school in the US?
We don't have to take a second language, but several are offered. In junior high / middle schools, you can generally take Spanish or French, just about anywhere. In high school, add German and a few others.
