This guy makes an Yngwie song seem like a walk in the park (or maybe a brisk stroll). Believe me though, it's most certainly not. This is going to be my next mission: to conquer Yngwie's "Trilogy Suite". When I do, I'll make a video and put it on You Tube too.

It's funny because this guy looks like Russell Crowe jammin' on guitar...LOL!

I'd like to see that when you learn it. I two Yngwie albums: "Marching Out," and "Trilogy" that I bought when they first came out. I haven't picked up anything new from him 20 years after that. I'm not a big fan of "shredding" though I can appreciate that it takes a lot of talent and technical skill which is a department I lack in!

Learn "Disciples of Hell" for me next and don't forget to check the "Buttmetal" thread! [Laugh]

"Rising Force" is one of my favorite Yngwie albums because it has one of my favorite songs of all time: "As Above, So Below". That's another one I've been learning (main riffs, not so much the leads/solos). I've been playing guitar for just over 15 years, and I'm just now refining my "shredding" skills. I'm naturally heavy handed (thanks to Anthrax and Overkill).

As for Trilogy, I have most of the riffs down, but not completely up to speed. I just sat there and shook my head the first few times I watched Toni Lloret fly through Yngwie. He boosted up the tempo and was still playing ahead of it at times. That bastard!...LOL!

I like your new avatar by the way (I say that alot, don't I). What ever happened to the tribal guy with the bone through his nose?

The new avatar is the newest incarnation of Eddie from Maiden.

The man from New Guinea was an inspiration for a D&D character I ran called Kromdebooga Kong. He was a jungle gnome barbarian that I ran for mostly comic relief. He was always getting into stuff because he didn't know better and acting first before thinking as any primitive barbarian type should. I even had a little lead figure we modified to look like a painted up pygmy with a bone through his nose that we used in the game. It was a sad day when he met his demise.

That guy's pretty good, but you guys have to check out this:

Jerry C. He's got the technique plus some serious awesome musical ideas (most of the videos I've seen he's playing his own songs)

LeDaemon, as an official "ButtMetalHead" (I read the thread), I know "Eddie" pretty well. I used to have a collection of Iron Maiden posters back in my younger days.

Ozkar, Jerry C is pretty awesome too! He's a pick sweeping mofo. I need to polish that skill a bit.
