Remember the '72 fury I bought last year to work on restoring?? Here she is with the exterior done. The engine is done too, I just haven't taken any pictures of it yet. The interior needs help next.

The New and Improved "BEAST"
I opted not to replace the vinyl top just yet. It'll cost more than I can afford right now, and I wanna drive it NOW!! So, I went with a two tone paint job. It runs like a raped ape. Has a 360 cu.in. engine. Uh Oh, I feel a testosterone rush comming on.
I did all the work on my carport.(except paint. I paid to have it done professionally)
Whatcha think?

Now I remember you talking about that monster. Gets about 8 gallons to the mile right?
A friend of mine recently bought himself a project car as well. Its a late 70s model Olds Cutlass. His brother has a project car that's been sitting in his garage for about 15 years in pieces. A 1967 Firebird. That one used to be his dad's car and I remember when it used to run. I kind of think that its not going anywhere in the next few decades at the rate he's moving on it.

Thanks for the comments. It's still got a ways to go to be a complete restoration. The upholstery needs to be redone (front seat has a tear) and the bumpers need to be re-chromed. While I was working on this one I also did a '87 Toyota 4Runner. I bought it for $500. It was in pretty bad shape. The body was all rusted out from sitting in a field near the ocean up in Jacksonville, Fl. and the engine was blown. I rebuilt the engine and patched all the holes and replaced the body parts that I could find in a junk yard. It took 2 months and a total of $1100 (including the original purchase price) and I just sold it two days ago for $2500. Below is a picture of it. http://img2.pict.com/70/4c/d3/1469083/0/800/4runner1.jpg
This started out as a hobby, but it looks like it might be a way to supplement my income while the economy is in the tank.
