Just watched him eat an apple out of a bear turd and have seen him drink the moisture out of the same, but like he says: "It just might save your life."
And I'd like to see Chuck survive in the wild...oh and Bruce Lee beat the shit out of him btw

yup, just him and the dozen or so people in the camera crew.
but honestly, he would do this craziness anyway, so he might as well get paid for it.

Nah, Les Stroud carries a bunch of cameras with him. Any shots of him in the distance is him setting up his camera, filming himself walking off, then coming back to pick up his camera. He edits it all later. Grylls has the camera crew with him everywhere he goes.
(Les Stroud's show is Survivorman, by the way)

You guys should see him in real life. He gave a talk at some show I attended a couple of years ago. A few of us braver types approached him (since we're hikers and climbers) and asked for some lesser known tips on surviving in specific locations... we then met up again and chatted a bit.
Seriously though... there's the TV version with the camera crew and hotels, then there's the real guy. He is literally insane and nothing is ever going to stop him.
We never went hiking with him though. He was too busy with work but yea. He's literally some kind of reincarnation of <insert your religious antagonist here>.

Well okay, say what you want about him - he cheats or whatever (in the show I'm watching, it's quite clear he spends the night minimum of once with no luxury) but you gotta remember - he was in the SAS I t5hink it was - he DID this stuff for real...

I've got no doubt Bear Grylls is bad ass in real life and hardcore survivalist. I just prefer Les Stroud and Survivorman. It's more raw, if you know what I mean.
