After seeing new trailer after new trailer, they had me wanting to see Rise of the Planet of the Apes so bad. It looked amazing.
I went to the midnight showing with my dad, and three friends from work (1 male, 2 female). Every single one of us LOVED this movie. The girls, who called the movie "that monkey movie" when people asked them what they were going to see that night both admitted to getting tears in their eyes at parts. My dad, who is a huge Apes fan, loved it too.
Do yourself a favor, if you were interested in seeing this, GO SEE IT. If you were unsure, I'd reconsider. If you had no desire to see it, you'll probably be like the many girls in the theater who clapped, or were like the two that went with us, that came out and said, "I loved that movie."

I can't I'm saving for next week to see Final Destination 5. But I will certainly put it in my Netflix Queue.

Man, I saw the first Final Destination and it was the final one for me. I didn't care for it at all. I have a couple of friends probably going to see it though.

I was suppose to watch it with my brother this morning in Auckland but missed the first session and the next session was too close to my flight back to Melbourne. Anyhoo I've got Tuesday off and will watch it then. Really looking forward to seeing it and with the added recomendation, it's given my interest a lil' boost .

Funny thing is I can remember as a really young child seeing one of the Apes sequels at a drive in back in the early 70s. Not really interested in seeing this one in a theater so I'll wait for it to come to Netflix next year.

They're nothing like the other, not even anything like the Tim Burton one. It is its own "beast," sorry for the pun.

I was obsessed with the POTA flicks in the 70s. I do remember seeing one at the drive-in along with Barbarella.

Yeah I was kinds skeptical about it at first, but it was really good. Better than the remake of the original. I also saw Cowboys and Aliens and that was awesome too. Olivia Wilde is in it. She's got that cute "fuck me" face, lol. No feet shots in the movie so I googled her when I got home and wow she's got hot feet. Definitely my top celeb right now.

Looks like I am not alone. A few other friends of mine went out and watched it a few days ago too - like 8 of them went (guys and girls). All of them loved it too.
