Ok, I have been using a Nikon d90 for about 5 years. In that time I have aquired 3 primes and 2 telephoto lenses that cover all of my needs. However, as of late my wife and I have been traveling a lot and I'm thinking of getting smaller/lighter/newer gear.
I do product photography for my business but only post pics on my website so they don't have to be huge but I am a stickler for sharpness, clarity and bokeh. I have been swayed to look at the Sony a6000 which defiantly fits the bill for smaller, lighter and newer. Good processor and sensor. However, after looking at a lot of the lenses on DXO Mark and some 3rd party reviews, it seems that a lot of the E Mount lenses are soft in the corners and have limited aperture ranges that are sharp as well.
I need recommendations on systems ya'll as photographers have used and any feedback you can give on the a6000 (if you've used it) as it would pertain to foot photography and product photography.

Cain - I've actually been looking at the 5500 a lot since it was released a few months back and the 5300 before that. Only reason I'm asking is mainly the size and weight. I already have a lot of gear to haul around on trips (leather shows, teaching classes etc.) so I was looking for a smaller, lighter kit.
I love Nikon, and I'm not getting rid of any of my Nikon gear, I just don't wanna lug around a big DSLR if I don't have to.

5500 would be good, I know very little about Nikon though. Would all your lenses fit on that body? The Sony also mentioned would be a nice camera. I would even suggest (even though the primes get the best sharpness for close up product photos), maybe sell the least of them and get like a 28-138mm range zoom with good glass to keep that sharpness.

All of the Nikon lenses I have would fit any new Nikon that I would possibly get (DSLR's) but they would also fit the Sony a6000 (with an adapter....and have some simblance of use, no AF, limited functionality etc.) but still definately usable. Although, again for sticking with "Light and Portable" I would prefer to not get an adapter since it makes all the lenses essentially longer and heavier with only limited usability.
