I'm loving the new content on the sites, but all the big screen vids are formatted for quicktime? Why the change, and will they ever be available in .wmv again? Love the clips, but MOV isn't the most adaptable format, imo.

I edit video on a macbook now, and the files i tried converting to wmv were of low quality, and audio off sync. So that file type is out.
Mov and mp4 look so much better, have smaller file sizes, and can be viewed on pc's, macs, ipods, ipads, phones, etc. I believe thats where the future is.
Plus i just bought a new HD video camera, and it records to a mov file, so i can just transfer it to the editing program instead of recording from a tape.

so does that mean we'll see vids in 720p or 1080p? still, .mov won't be right for everyone, i'd like to see a format not native to quicktime.

wmv might be possible, at least when I use the hd camera. But if i use the regular dv camera, it'll have to be mov, mp4 file types. but yes, the hd camera records in 1080 and 720 formats
