The bottom one is a Conion C-100F For those who collect old boomboxes it is sort of a holy grail of boomboxes. I had one as a kid and saw it on eBay and had to have it.
The top one is new and available now on eBay. It's a Lasonic i931 It holds an iPod where the tape player would normally go, and it also has an SD card slot as well as a USB port. It's old school meets new school technology I guess.

Lol yea I did notice the boom boxes, took a while tho :-)
I'll bet the new box doesn't sound as good as the old one! I've got a friend who has a great setup with a record player, tube amp and some high end speakers in his living room, I've never heard such beautiful sound! There's no beating vinyl!

Thanks! You really can't compare the old one to the new one as that old Conion is much bigger and way more powerful. It even has a built in motion sensitive alarm system, lol The little purple cube in the middle of the red LED's is the motion sensor seen in the pic below.

Holy crap that thing is a beast! I love how it has built in vu meters and a roll cage :-P. You know you're partyin' hard when your tunes need a roll cage! That beats the heck out of my little no name I had. The only cool thing besides having two decks was that it had the ability to record via a little condenser mic. Do you collect them or just like old school?

I wish I could collect them. Too rich for my blood. The one I'm holding was bought for me by a client of mine. It cost $1200 on eBay, mainly because it's in great shape and it came with the original box and owners manual - a very rare find indeed from 1984, lol
The other one I would like is the JVC RC-M90 which was made famous by LL Cool J.
