It had been a few days and the lawn was either closed or there was just no luck with girls having their feet up. So I was really ready for a success, and I certainly got one!
There was some sort of live music concert on the lawn and people were standing in little groups around the musicians, but many other people were just sitting around, at least TRYING to enjoy the park (increasingly difficult these days), so I strolled around looking to see if any feet were up, and then I saw that some WERE. She was a delicate, very slender girl in short shorts, her tidy tan flats off, her bare feet up as she texted. I walked over and sat down in front of her nonchalantly, then checked my e-mail. I then casually slipped my camera out of my bag and got started filming. As I did this, out of the corner of my eye I could see that she was looking at me and, well, that's always a somwhat awkward stage in this zany enterprise, because that's the one moment where literally anything can happen, but usually nothing does, and this was one of those times.
She then seems to have made the decision to ignore me utterly, and she then proceeded to look literally everywhere but at me! The whole "I'm not looking at you" thing. Texting, looking around, the occasional selfie. She is exquisite, with a completely beautiful face, and her feet were very shapely and beautifully maintained, maybe size 8 or so. In that sweet spot, not too little but not big either, long enough to have a nice shape but not too big. What a find!
But then after a few seconds she put her feet down. I was extremely disappointed, but though, well, I got 20 seconds or so of some beautiful bare soles, maybe I can add it to a "shorts" complication.
I was about to take my camera off my lap when she put her feet back up -- this time with her bare soles pointed straight at me! I thought, THANK GOD, and, emboldened, took a little chance, sliding my butt over toward her about a foot closer. This little move paid off -- when I opened my viewfinder the perspective was now even better and I could really fill the viewfinder with her bare soles and pretty face. And so she went on with her business, sometimes with that little "cat that ate the canary" look on her face, as I filmed and filmed. She didn't move her feet around much but I think that was because she had them pointed straight at the camera and she didn't want to ruin the shot!
Finally, after what must have been almost a half hour, she put her feet down. I waited to see if she would put her feet back up but she didn't. (I'm never satisfied with what I've got -- I always want more, lol.) She seemed about to make a phone call in fact, and some girls put their feet down for that, and they lean forward. That's what she did. As I got up to leave I walked past her and got a surprise -- the whole time I had assumed she was an Amerasian girl because she looks mixed, and while I'm still pretty sure she's mixed, I heard the beginning of her conversation and she has a VERY distinct Australian accent! Later I walked by her again and saw that she had put her prim little tan flats back on and had her feet back up, her ankles crossed again, but I didn't sit back down to shoot that. She's such a beauty and her pretty feet are such a total treat to see, super close-up in the camera!
