Two years ago I met a girl on the internet, after one week of emails and two coffee dates she finally agreed to come round to my flat. The buzzer in my apartment rang indicating she was here and I went down stairs to meet her at the front door.
We greeted each other and began walking up the gloomy grey concrete staircase. I was carrying her small black suitcase; the plan was to head out to a party later that evening. As I lifted the bag up the stairs I looked at her, on her feet she was wearing stylish high heeled, black knee high leather boots; slightly scuffed round the toe with brass like buckles going up the side holding polished leather straps in place. On her legs she had blue jeans made to look worn and faded down the leg; they were tucked into her boots. She wore a designer black cotton coat, a black jumper, yellow scarf round her neck and chic frameless purple sunglasses. As she strode up the stairs she talked on about her accomplishments, what her interest where, what she did at university trying to impress and gain the upper hand. I looked down again at her big clunky leather boots she was wearing; as she marched up the stairwell they noisily thumped down on the concrete stairs making a slight echo down the stairwell. I needed a way to get those boots off her I thought.
I but the key in the lock and opened up the door to the apartment turned round and said to her “I have a no shoes policy, you’ll have to take your boots off,” .She looked a little shocked and uncomfortable, I didn’t think she was going to take them off at first she was so perplexed.
For a moment she looked like she was about to say something and fleetingly looked temperamental and annoyed about having to take off her boots; but then slowly and reluctantly she bent down grabbed the zip at the top of the boot and lingeringly started to unzip it.
Bit by bit the zip came down as she gingerly unzipped her boot, the lower part of the jeans were all creased and crumpled from being tucked up in the boot for so long. She knelt down on one knee as gradually the zip came to the bottom of the boot.
She looked despondently up at me as the zip hit the base of her black clunky boot. I looked down and could see her slender bare naked ankle; it stood out against the black cumbersomeness of her leather boots. So she was wearing her boots on bare feet.
My mind meandered girls always seemed to wear shoes sock less but this was the first time I’d seen a girl wear boots on bare feet but then again it’s not like you can’t tell if their barefooted in boots till they actually take them off, her tender bare feet were so inconspicuously concealed in those bulky boots I couldn’t tell they were worn on her naked feet till she’d completely unzipped them.
Then unenthusiastically and hesitantly she stood up and grabbed the heel of the boot she looked at me I couldn’t see her eyes through the sunglasses but I don’t think she was too pleased with the fact she was about to lose and be dispossessed her first boot.
I stared down, I could see the lightly tanned skin of her bare ankle at the base of the zip just a little had been exposed in-between her blue jeans and where the boot zip had become undone forming a V shape. The chunky black top op her boots waved from side to side slightly, it was buffed polished leather on the lining of her boots as well; the brass buckles on her boot quietly and metallically jangled as she slowly pulled and twisted the heel of her boot.
Then there has a kind of hollow rubbing scraping sound as her naked barefoot finally broke free from the leather boot, it sounded as if she’d been wearing her boots on bare feet for a while, as it made a faint tacky gummy sound as the sticky bond between the polished innersoles of her boot and perspiring clammy bare foot was finally broken. She’d been bare foot in boots for so long the buffed smooth innersoles of the boot must have adhered to the sole of her sweaty naked foot.
The heavy bulky boot finally came off she held it tightly in her hand for a moment. She stood awkwardly in the hallway her hot moist barefoot finally exposed and unshod. She looked at me, she seemed sort of humbled and indignant with her one stinky naked barefoot showing no longer protected by that heavy knee high leather boot and now open to the elements. I think it must have felt rather different and contrasting for her when the cool air hit her warm toasty barefoot after having it snug and cozy in her boot on for so long.
She leaned over and put the unzipped boot to one side it fell over as she let go of it. Uncomfortably and embarrassingly she looked down at her unprotected naked toes.
I looked down too, one was foot now exposed and stripped it looked so tender vulnerable next to her other foot that was still barefooted in that high heeled thick leather boot. She gawkily stared down at her un booted, stripped foot and anxiously fidgeted her naked uncovered toes curling them into the light blue carpet she obviously didn’t like having her bare foot out in the open all naked and exposed like that.
Her naked barefoot was lightly tanned in color a very light brown but also slightly red in places mainly around the tips of her toes and around the top of her toes but this was probably the imprint left from wearing her boot. As I looked, I thought her soft delicate balmy naked foot was in stark contrast to the other foot still shod and protected in those serious leather knee high boots that looked as though they could stomp on just about anything.
