I am sure some of you saw that I pretty much lost my entire day's worth of photos that I did on Tuesday with Carmen (her first photos in over 2 years) due to a card malfunction.
Well, since JustJoe saved my night, and Carmen's as she was bummed out too about the idea that I lost all the photos, I decided to go ahead and show you the sample shots here of what will be posted on Soles of Silk next week.
Carmen and I headed to a park and after getting the worst map ever (yes, worse than MapQuest maps), I got us lost on a trail trying to find a covered bridge to use as a setting. Well, we neded up walking 2 miles and Carmen was in knee high boots. I felt bad for her, but when she told me her feet were very sweaty, I about died.
We turned around and went back to the main area of the park and shot this set and some artsy black and white photos by an old blacksmithing building that is used for demonstrations by the park. Well, when I had her take those boots off, I moved in close trying to be close enough to hopefully smell them, but not make it obvious. I was stunned to see her feet were actually wet, yes, wet with sweat and I could faintly smell them as I positioned the camera close. Of course I had to "wipe" some fuzz off her soles too. And I playfully sniffed my finger and told her they stunk. Here are two samples from that first set and one of the black and white ones I liked.

It is so kick ass that you got your pics recovered Patrick. I read your bulletin on MySpace ... I understand that feeling of frustration ...
Recently I learned what can happen if you pull a ribbon from a hard drive while the tower is still HOT ... (stupid move I know now ... ) But at a HARD cost.

I love Carmen. The photo shoot you did with her wearing brown flip-flops on the railroad tracks is one of my favorite sets.

Just got back from day 2 of shooting with Carmen. Yeah, I made her shoot with me two days even before we thought we'd have to redo all of Tuesday's work. We went downtown today and her feet got a little dusty and black from being barefoot on the sidewalks/streets. Those little feet looked so cute. And she wore blue nail polish today, dark metallic blue too.

P.S. And today I got to give her a nice foot massage with lotion and even got a couple of photos smelling her feet to replace my avatar.
