Just picked it up for my PS3. Only played it for a few minutes. Kicked some ass with She Hulk, but a few matches in, the game learned how to block and I couldn't hit shit. Had to go to work, so I never got back to it. Anyone else get it yet?

Its one of the funnest fighters I have played in a very long time. I think it surpasses part too because they took it seriously this time and added some great new characters. They did lose alot of others but I think Dante alone makes up for it.

Played this for the first time with my friend last night. I was doing well at first, but he learned the game faster than I did (probably because he played a demo beforehand) and I ended up with a big losing streak.
But like with Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, I'll get this game down.
I'm still picking my team, but so far I'm liking Zero (thanks to him being in TvC), Amaterasu, Deadpool, Arthur, and Morrigan (I used her alot in MvC2).

Finally went out and bought this game. It's a pretty fun game but its not what I expected. I'm only going to keep it because my son loves being able to play as Spiderman, Hulk and Iron Man. I prefer Tekken and Super Street Fighter IV over this and will get the new Mortal Kombat once it comes out.

Yeah, I have played it a few times. I have a friend who picks Dante and just shoots the fuck out of everyone from across the screen - making it impossible to do shit. I had a lot more fun with Tekken and Soul Caliber as of late. To be honest, even the new Street Fighter title wasn't all that to me. I can't wait for the new Mortal Kombat.

To beat Dante just pick Sentinel. Haha. Anyway, yeah, I own it. I'm a bit of a fighting game junkie. Anyway, I think the game is pretty solid. I wish it had the "burst system" (the ability to use your meter to break your opponent's combo) from Tatsunoko vs Capcom, but what can you do? Anyway, play on!

My friend uses Dante all the time (teaming him with X-23, Wesker, and Trish), but he doesn't play keep-away with Dante's guns. He prefers to rush and get close; in fact, that's apparently the best way to play Dante.
I'm a lot better at the game now; I can hold my own against him. I've gotten the hang of Zero (but thanks to Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, I already knew how to play him), Amaterasu, Arthur, Morrigan (same as Zero), Taskmaster, and C. Viper.
And I too wish it had TvC's burst; I'm still having a hard time breaking out of the tag-out air combos, even though I can easily pull them off myself.
Speaking of other fighters, I played Tekken 6 and Tekken Tag Tournament. I wasn't that impressed (though Zafina and Christie in T6 are great for us foot fans ). Soul Calibur 2 was mad fun (specifically the GCN version, which had Link), but SC3 and SC4 didn't have the same magic with me. And I was never all that fond of Mortal Kombat, so I'm not really looking forward to the new one.

Yah, I figured that out the other day. Sentinel is a beast!

Yeah Dante isn't overpowered at all. If ur having trouble just pick Akuma and do a jumping fireball. Works against spammers. I got mine on PS3 too man. What's ur ID?
I don't play much online to be honest. But I have no problems with any character now with my friends. I am sure expert players will kick my ass though.
