Awesome game. So glad that it came out in America after all.
It's a Japanese RPG, but it plays very much like a WRPG, with a VERY open world that allows you to explore practically every nook and cranny you please (watch out, because by doing this you can and will run into monsters that are way stronger than you are at that point in the game). For a Wii game, the game is absolutely beautiful, and you can tell how much effort Monolith Soft put into the humongous environments.
There's also a bunch of quests you can do, which adds a ton of playtime to this already long game.

I want to pick this up at some point. I'm pretty big on JRPGs, and I need an excuse to turn on my poor neglected Wii again. I've heard nothing but good things about this game.
Though, some are calling it the swansong of the JRPG as we know it. Pretty unfortunate, considering that's the genre I was raised on.

I love JRPGs as well, and it's a shame that it's in the state that it's in. I guess it's because developers don't want to be innovative, like Xenoblade is.
