I just picked this game up on a whim last night and played for about an hour. HOLY SHIT! It's fucking intense! I've died like 6 times in that hour...only thing I don't like about it is that I have a hammer and a fucking knife. Takes about 5 or 6 swings to kill a walker and by that time there is a damn horde on your ass lol
I got it for like 55 bucks, worth it so far, not sure if its a xbox exclusive or not though.

I've been watching the web for information about this game. The other Walking Dead game got rave reviews, but it's more of a story/choice based plot style game than action/shooter. This first person game, however, I wasn't sure of.
For the first few days after release I couldn't even find a review online for it. Generally that means they denied letting people play demos or getting preview copies. That's often a bad sign. After watching some walkthroughs online I did see some appeal, but also saw some stuff I didn't care for. It would have to come down to gameplay for me. Maybe if Playstation Plus or the PSN has a demo I'll give it a try.

P.S. I saw in the walkthrough that if you swing around the back side of the zombies, you can one shot them with the knife right through the head.
P.S.S. There are a few reviews online now and they're not too good. Bummer. But that isn't always a good way to judge a game.

Yeah its a "choose your own path" kind of game so far, as in, pick the highway route but you will use more gas, but less walkers. Choose the stop in little town/side roads and use less gas and have more scavenging opportunities but more walkers. I chose the side road option, perhaps why I get raped by walkers lol One of first missions as Darryl in that side town is to refuel and to do that you need to restart a generator. Fine. Except the fact that it is loud as hell which attracts a 100 walkers and you can't really run, you jog for like 5 steps then sweat runs down your forehead(realistic) but then distorts vision/screen. Cool concept but pain in the ass when your running from walkers lol
I haven't played it since first night I got it, only been 3 games I ever done that with(Left for Dead 2, Liberty, one of the Resident Evil games) so I don't take that as a good sign. PS3 Version might be better though, I have a buddy that loves it on the PS3...
