i saw so much about this game that i had to get it and i hardly ever buy new games. i usually wait until they are on sale or i get them used. i havent gotten very far in the game but i am really enjoying it. it's really cinematic and the graphics are pretty amazing. the only downside is that because its so cinematic, at times it doesnt feel like there's much game play.

anyone else playing it?

No, but have heard a ton about it. I'm not much of a gamer (I still collect Genesis games and play those, lol), but a friend of mine called me last week and couldn't stop talking about The Last of Us. Lemme know how it is, man.

And, yeah, the problem with new games is that they are so cinematic, it really is like just watching a movie. It's cool and pretty interesting, but gets old when you're just trying to get some gameplay in.

I too usually wait til the game has dropped in price or is used. I have a line of games to play before I play this one but a workmate of mine is amping it up and has finished the game in 4 days straight and has highly recommended me to play it. Another friend of mine has just started and sez it's quite good so far.

I saw the trailer before it came out and it didn't phase me. But the friends reviews has turned my attention [Eek!]

the story is average so far. nothing too mind blowing and it's a little too linear to be perfect but its really engaging. the characterizations are great and the facial expressions are amazing. you cant actually tell what someone is feeling just by their facial expression.

i got my PS3 at xmas and since have bought about 10 games.. maybe a cpl more. i actually have 3 that i havent even tried yet but when i see a deal, i jump on it. i got Assassins Creed, GTA: Tales of Liberty City, Arkham City, and Ico/Shadow of Colossus for less than $30 recently. The Last of Us is the only one i've payed full price for.

This is a game I enjoyed more and more every time I turned the system on to play for a timespan. By the end I didn't want it to end.

Just finished the game. Graphics were excellent and scare factor was good as I got scared at times. First time I felt feelings of empathy in the cut scenes, I think due to the detail in the eyes and the way they moved and gave expressions you(I) could feel.

The game can be hard at times (Normal Mode) but the checkpoints ain't too far especially sneaking around takin' out a whole group silently takin' out one by one which is pretty good.

The stroy line wasn't fulfilling. Didn't finish for me. Still my favorite fulfilling storyline belongs to Resident Evil 4 (PS2), The perfect game.

Currently playing 'Resident Evil 6' and my next game will most likely be 'Max Payne 3'.
