I've had it for about 2-3 months now. The only reason I got it was to play Resident Evil 7 since I've been such a big fan since part 4 which is still my favorite game of all time. I wasn't expecting too much playing it in VR as I've seen YouTube vids of people playing it with the Oooooooo's and aaaaaaahhh's of reactions. Now Horror movies don't phase me and may startle me a bit but nothing significantly of a aaagggh reaction. Sometimes it can be a bit of a comedy, especially it's marked as a "Netflix Original" 😁😝.

Now this RE7 Game in VR.... this game.... Scares the shit outta me. Like 9-10/10. So -much-so I haven't finished the game lol. You're not sitting on couch watching a movie, you're fucking in it. OMG if you want to experience horror as movies have intended, play this.

I only bought the PSVR headset and camera for this reason only but other titles I've picked up along the way have been the best experiences of my life like when I was a kid discovering video games for the very first time.

Best by far is Star Wars Battlefront. There's a VR mission in there. The experience of flying the X-wing and pushing the difference buttons in the cockpit to split and retract the wings for fighting mode and activating the targeting computer for proton torpedoes is an experience I'd pay $100 for one time. I'm so grateful that I get to play it whenever I want which I picked up from the bargin bin for $20 (pre-owned).

Second is...

...My second favorite experience/game so far is 'The Playroom VR', it's a free download from the PS Store. Now your in your own bedroom with a built in skill testing toy machine and the toys you get seem like standard toys, but seeing them in action in your own room. You feel like you're 8 years old again in a room you could only dream of being in. The games within are just as fun. You have to try this and since its free, you have nothing to lose.

My third is 'Farpoint' with the Aim Controller. This has taken gaming to a whole new level of immersion. The feeling of holding the actual weapons is Awesome. The gameplay is Awesome. The entire experience of being on another planet is just fucking Awesome. When I think back, it's not a memory of a game, it's a memory as if I was actually there. Now this aim controller has a little story I'd like to add. The way it's designed I could only play in 20-30min segments as my trigger hand got tired and a little sweaty because my front supporting hand was getting tired. Collectively the game took me about 8-10hrs because of discovery, new enemies and what-not. I decided to research if Aim Controller Stocks were available. There weren't any so I decided to build one with some PVC pipe, a heat gun and some electrical tape. Put it all together and went to trial it on the game. Now for example purposes I'll use 50% as my base. Now my aiming went from 50% to about 20%, that's one hell of an accuracy loss I got pissed off and threw it to the side as a failed project Grrrrrr. Later on in the day after cooling down, I went to research stocks for actual rifles and shotguns for guidance. I should've come here in the first place as I winged my original design to what felt comfortable for me. Turns out my stock was 33mm too long so I trimmed it and reattached it and went for another trial. Whoa my accuracy went up significantly to like 80-85%. I was soooo excited I went for a second round. Finished the game in 3hrs one sitting. The comfortability factor has risen because of the added point of contact resting comfortably in your shoulder.

One of the funny experiences I had was a trial version of a game called 'Starblood Arena'. You're in some space ship one man fighter. You're only limited to the character to choose which was a chick. I was like "ok then", cool being in there and you have massive outer cannons that follow your head movement. Look at something and blast it to smitherines with one hit of the button. Now the funny bit was when I looked down.... Lol I had a rack... I couldn't stop checking out my boobies I was amazed and laughing at the same time lol.

Skyrim VR: Now you have to take into account that this game wasn't meant for VR but and adaptation to accommodate. They've done it really well. Running around Skyrim and being close to people dragons and enemies is a great experience. Now the dragons are massive and when you kill one and start to absorb the dragon's soul, you can't help but raise both hands in some theatrical manner and feel a rush of imaginary power. I feel like such a geek, but it's hella fun.

Now I'm using two move controllers for the added experience. Holding the weapons in your hands and holding them up close to your face, you really appreciate the artwork and craftsmanship of a weapon. My favorite to look at was the Blades Shield, I appreciate art and looked this over for a good 10mins. Everytime I obtain or forge a new weapon, I'm excited to go out into the sun an examine it.

I think the bows and arrows were too powerful for their own good. Drawing back a bow with the move controllers are really cool in itself. But if you could draw back your bow quickly enough, you could take down a dragon in less than a minute with the lowest rating iron bow+arrow. I hope they add an extra movement like maybe to grab an arrow from the pouch and add delays for novices to keep the challenge up in the future Elder Scrolls game.

If you haven't played Skyrim before, I wouldn't recommend it. But if you have, you've gotta try it out
