OK, guys. The time has come for me to ask this question: What is the allure of foot odor? Personally, I find it a real turn-off! I'd rather there not be any foot odor while I rub a girl's feet. Or better still, if she'll let me put sweet-smelling lotion on them!

its a good question....i dont know why i like it but i know this - if the female is cute the fact that her feet have odor is very exciting. i think it may have something to do with contrasts - i.e. only ugly nasty girls are supposed to have sweaty feet - when sexy ones do its really nice! I'm in the same boat as you, dougie. I too find smelly feet to generally be a turn-off and thus I much prefer them to be fresh-from-the-shower clean. However, I think I can understand some of the appeal of the foot odor phenomenon. Odors have the power to evoke an entire state of consciousness more thoroughly than any other form of communication. I like it when a totally beautiful girl has some imperfection, even if it merely the sweat from her feet.
I find a little odor attractive, too much odor a turn off, and no odor disappointing.
Someone asked if I'd ever smelled Christina's feet. I let him know I never actively sought to smell her feet just after she took her shoes off. But the times I was close enough to her feet to smell them, they smelled like the finest of perfumes (the $200-$500 per ounce type).

Myself, I wouldn't care for the "cheesy/vinegary" smell that some folks enjoy.
I'm more a fan of the 'fresh' scent. Having said that though, I'd also have to say that I definitely do love the scent of my Honey's tootsies after she's been wearing her shoes (often Keds or Uggs) all day. Amazingly, even then, it's still what I'd call a 'fresh' scent... I'd describe it as kinda a hot 'popcorn' smell with maybe a hint of a 'leather' smell (if she's been wearin' her pumps or Uggs) mixed with good ol' Victoria's Secret body lotion. She describes the scent as like as being like Cheetohs. Either way, it definitely revs my motor! LoL I'm thinkin' it must be pheromones! ;-)

EXACTLY!!! The way I see it is, if a guy doesn't like the smell of PUSSY, then he doesn't really like PUSSY. Also, if a guy doesn't like the smell of a girl's FEET then he doesn't really like feet.

Not all footsmell is the same. Some peoples foot smells are eztremely arousing and some peoples footsmell is rank. Pussy is the same way.

For me the feet smell part depends on my mood and my "ups" at time. I found myself extremely aroused the smell of feet by ex-girlfriends and now my wife's feet and some other times it leaves me uninterested at all. I remember years ago when a female friend of mine, who is working in a beauty salon, asked among other things whether I like to smell female feet. I hadnt thought of this before and ever after I kept looking for this kind of action. So, part of this smelling process I guess come from her intuition.

As for me, I don't like the heavy sweaty stinky aroma of feet. I prefer either the very light natural scent -or- the scent of lotion on a woman's feet.

The point is a person without a foot fetish will ask "why feet?". It's really no different than asking "why foot odor?". But I would expect that type of uninformed question from someone who doesn't have a fetish. But it is surprising to hear from someone who does have a fetish.
Also, the way a foot LOOKS is only part of its attribute, and therefor only part of it's appeal. There is also the odor. And from my point of view I don't understand how someone can like the site of a foot, but not the smell. I agree with face_pedestal and it's clear that the sight and smell of feet are both integral to all- it's just that some of us like the clean (soap) or lotioned smell rather than sweaty. I'm also a cleany, though I've noticed that I've not been turned off by a very slight sweaty smell this past summer. But as far as shoes are concerned- my wife leaves hers outside her closet most days- and they reek! Don't like it.

Just by saying that they are not as much into feet isn't "knocking" them. It is just stating an opinion that they may not have as much of a foot fetish as someone who does like the smell. It's just an opinion.
Just like there was a poll no long ago stating the different levels of foot fetish. That wasn't to say that those who ranked lower were being "knocked".

My love for aroma dates back to when I was about 6, and was innocently playing shoe salesman with the little 6 year old girl next door. I have to agree with this quote. I don't get turned on really just by smelling a girls feet. The act of "being made" to kiss and worship smelly feet, however, pushes me over the edge. I think its because I like to be submissive at times and with smelly feet I feel more like I am "forced" to do it. Nope, I can't say that I've had any bad experiences with smelly feet that ultimately caused me to prefer clean feet in the long run. For me there really isn't much to extrapolate on because it's really a very cut & dry issue as I see it. Speaking only for myself, my own sexual desires are driven primarily by the senses of touch, taste and sight. Sound and smell are secondary senses for me which tend to take a backseat in importance. So, where the matter of scent is concerned, I treat a gal's feet in very much the same way that I treat any other part of her body. I wouldn't want her arms or stomach to have any particular odor coming from them other than a nice clean fragrance, and thus I expect the same from her feet. Hopefully that psycho-sexual reasoning provides a bit more insight into why I prefer clean feet over ones which exhibit some type of foot odor. I still have no problem whatsoever with guys who are into the smelly feet thing, and for what it's worth, I do understand the attraction from their point of view.

I would say it depends on the girl and on the type of shoe. I have smelled one particular girl's feet after being in flats, and had to wash them before I could get near them. Never experienced them after tennis shoes and socks, which is what usually appeals to me. I have smelled another girl's feet(wife's) after tennis shoes and socks and after flats, and they usually turn me on, unless she has been in them long enough for them to get too rank.

The responses here have been interesting but, sadly, haven't really shed much light on the matter, at least for me. A few points cross my mind: 1)Pheromones are embedded smells and can rarely be detected on a conscious level. You can't see ultra-violet or infra-red light but they are there and they have an observable effect. 2)The greatest number of scent glands on a human are in the feet (and the most pungent). On an evolutionary level, there may be some reason for this but I couldn't begin to speculate. 3)Many of the various bacteria used to ferment cheese are the very same bacteria that cause foot oder. I'm a clean foot guy...why do some cheeses smell good but feet that have roughly the same odor don't? Limburger still drives me out of a room. 3a)Maybe I need to meet a nice Swiss girl.

the hint of sweat in pumps with hose does it for me if it's not the vinegar type scent. however.. anything stronger.. turns me off. i don't like stinky feet. period. and it's teh combo of leather, hose, her perfume (depending on the type) and a hint of sweat.

OK. Growing up, smelling bad was a very bad and offensive thing. You smell a bum on the street and you cringe. While changing in the locker room you catch a wiff of the guy next to you and you gag. After a game of basketball and not showering right after the game, I smell myself and I say "wow GQ shower!". Now when it comes to women it's no different. If she smells because she forgot to wear deodorant and she was dancing all night, that is highly unattarctive to me. Even though I love how her blouse fit her. When she takes of her shoes and her feet smell, thats highly offensive and lends me to believe that she doesn't take care of her body.I'm a military guy working in the desert in marauder steel to combat boots and I make sure I don't smell...whats her deal? I will say that sexuality starts big time as a child and is influenced heavily by your mother. I would dare say that my fetish started as a toddler when I was hanging by my mothers feet. If they smelled then i'd probobly be into smelly feet later in life. They didn't so i'm not. And just like many in the world i'm alergic to body odor.

OK. Growing up, smelling bad was a very bad and offensive thing. You smell a bum on the street and you cringe. While changing in the locker room you catch a wiff of the guy next to you and you gag. After a game of basketball and not showering right after the game, I smell myself and I say "wow GQ shower!".
im pretty sure that when most people say they like smelly feet, its not nearly this bad...

GQ.... stink... don't get it.. needing a shower smelly.. don't get it. however.. each person has a degree of what they like.
shower fresh... another side of the scent spectrum.. that is a scent. having now smell at all means.. you can't even tell if it's shower fresh.. let alone feet.. devoid of smell.
so.. you've got the pleasant scents.. and then.. the unpleasant scents.
some like it very pleasant.. others like what you'd consider very unpleasant.
i'm towards the middle.. or should i say.. a mixture of both.. however... flat out raw stink.. please keep away from me.. just like.. super strong perfumed feet.. not my think.. i'd be sneezing way too much!

I absolutely love when women's feet "smell". I'm a die hard foot sniffer if there ever was one. Don't really know how it started, I just knew I liked it from an early age.
On the other hand, I find it to be a huge disappointment when a woman's feet don't have any scent to them. For example, back in my single days, I'd date women who were aware of my foot fetish and they'd come over with them sterilized thinking they were doing me a favor and I'd get so mad but have to play it off and find a way to just fulfill the visual aspect of my fetish. The smell and sight are like the yin and the yang of my foot fetish, without one there's a real imbalance.
On another note, I never really found the smell of pussy or a chick's ass or any other scent all that appealing. So it's always been difficult to get them to be fresh and clean in every other area without sacrificing the foot scent. Sometimes you just gotta take the good with the bad.

The smell of my wife's feet make me hard in an instant. A bit vinegary and moist with sweat makes me cum fast and hard. i so feel you... wish Wifee understood that aspect.
only one little clarification point... i don't care for stink.. some shoes.. after being worn so many times start to reak.. and even that quote won't work for me.
however..you captured what I love so much about hosed feet in pumps after a few hours wear (like a nice date)... you can still pick up the scent of her lotion, the scent of her pumps, her hose, and a bit of sweat/scent. oh yeah!!
but to each their own. some like artificial scented feet (soap, lotion). some like natural scented feet (not from sweat, but being human).. some like sweaty scent (like feet confined in shoes.. ranging from sandals to boots).

For me, (Especially when it comes to feet) I almost need to have the foot odour / smell or else its only 1/10th of a turn on.. if even that...
But I think generally, when a woman has a mild sweaty body odour during sex, It turns me on more, than if she was clean... However, the fishy, vaginal smell and/or the smell of her ass, is a total turn off..(and she needs to shower!)
But for foot odor, its almost a must for me...
This doesnt mean I dont enjoy intoxicating sweet smelling fragrances women wear either. I love that as well..
