Something definitely wrong if a person is not enjoying life as they get older. I used to think when I was a young kid of 18 that people in their 20s were "old." Hard to believe. I do things now in my late 40s that the 20 somethings struggle doing.

I'm in better shape mentally and physically at 46 than I ever was at any other time in my life.

I think my wife and I consider it a tremendous relief that we can enjoy consensual relationships of all kinds without lying about "cheating" or resenting each other (like most monogamous people eventually do). That is quite true, in my scouting travels for my site I do notice a LOT of women now in their mid-to-late 20's looking very old with wrinkled necks and almost in need of Botox treatments. It's unbelievable really. It has a lot to do with the schedules they keep at night partying, drinking and smoking even..more than previous generations even. I tend to be picky about that look on my models. Imagine these women at 45 y/o what they will look like?

As far as ignorance being bliss, you don't realize how ignorant you actually are until you get a bit older. I thought I knew a lot in my 20's, and thought I had all the answers. When you finally realize that, you start to become more open to different thoughts and experiences, and that ultimately leads to wisdom.
Where are these girls that prefer slightly older guys? Well, there everywhere. Perhaps you are fishing in a different pond than I would be if I were still on the prowl. I have quite a few friends that decided to stay single, and trust me, they would concur with what I'm saying.
Sex driving failing? Not really. No, I can't drill a hole through a block of concrete with the erection I receive when the wind grazes my nuts anymore, but it's still good enough. Plus my ability to please a lady has greatly improved with experience. I also am more uninhibited than I used to be and "learned" how to enjoy sex even more. Additionally, sex doesn't doesn't consume me as much as it used to. I have other things that drive me. It's not all about sex anymore.
Maybe it would be different if I gained 50 pounds, lost all of my hair and didn't have the means to do the things that I like. Maybe it would be different if I were living in my parents basement, delivered pizzas for a living and lived in the past. However, that's not the case for me.
My father once told me that youth is wasted on the young. I never understood that until I got a bit older.
