I am in total agreeance with you there. My SIL has a pair now which she wore to my house the other day. What a letdown! If my wife gets a pair I will definitley melt them down into a puddle of toxic sludge.

Crocs aren`t in fashion here in Germany this summer but I deffo don`t like them.
But 90% of the women are wearing those white/gold/silver ballet slippers...no chance to see many pretty toes.

That's interesting there, Deeparchlover. Yes, feetluvr, they have become a strong fashion trend indeed, and upon looking at their site, they seem to have a small amount of men's products also. I just have that feeling though about the Crocs, that they're going to be seen looking back to the 2000's as the 'embarrassing' fashion statement. "I can't believe I wore those things," might be said by many women someday. I think Crocs are gonna hit their peak, and perhaps something else more aesthetically pleasing, but with similar features to the Crocs, will replace them at some point.

Goddamnit, I hate those fucking things. They make girls feet look like flippers. Same thing with the ballet shoes. I actually work in the same town they are based out of. Apart from the fact that I can appreciate that they are not attractive and cover up female feet we want to see....What I am amazed about is that men seem to like wearing the damn things...how did that happen?

crocs are disgusting no doubt about it and a big tease. however, one point that could be valid is that they may bring out girls feet who would usually wear socks and it could be a step in the right direction for going barefoot in flip flops etc.

Yeah, I heard that there is some kind of chemical "coating" inside, but if the crocs are worn often, the smell will come through anyway. Maybe somebody has some hands(feet)-on experience?

I don't think they're too bad as long as they're not worn with socks (crocs without socks, has a cool ring to it). I work in the medical field, and those shoes look better than some of the ugly footwear I've seen in my profession.
I think UGG boots are the worst foot fashion to date. Or Birkenstocks. I'll take crocs over UGGs or Birks any day.
